Default to Low oct. fuel map with a custom tune?

Ok, I have looked everywhere for an answer to this, my car (LS3) has a custom 91 octane tune from Jannetty, if the ECM detects low octane will it still default to a low octane fuel map? or is this feature turned off when it is custom tuned? From the 1/4 mile times/mph in my sig I don't feel like the car is underpowered (just traction issues), I'm just curious if this is possible. I drove through Texas & New Mexico last fall, the highest octane I could find was 90 at most truck stops. Thanks in advance for any clarification of this!

Jannetty mentioned in another thread that once your car is tuned you don't have to worry about it defaulting to the low octane tune.

Cool, thats what I thought.

And I am embarrassed to say I found that specific thread just now..... I must be going blind cause I just wasted about 30 minutes typing in different search strings to no avail......LOL! Thanks for the reply!
