I'm trying to interpret the words in your post.....are you talking about wanting to get upgrades for your exisitng '99 Camaro V6? Cause that will get this moved over to the 4thgen section. But if you are thinking of replacing the whole car with a 5thgen we can help with that here.

I'm sorry but I had a hard time trying to figure out what the OP has posted I think the OP has about 3-4k to spend on mods for 1999 V6 Camaro and he or she needs some advice on what to get. I think

I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place. I have a V6 99 Camaro and I'm ready for a swap but don't know which one to go with. I have about 3-4 thousand to spend on motor and transmission and some bolt-ons but don't know what!. It's so frustrating. If anyone can help me on some tips on what motor and some good bolt-ons for it to bring out more power please write me back. Thank you.

To refine your question, are you actually purchasing a 5th generation Camaro (the focus of this forum) or are you asking for suggestions for adding power to your current ride (in which case you will find better answers in a different section)?

Try writing your questions in english with coherent sentences and we'd be able to help better. And also posting it in the correct section wouldn't have hurt either. Don't get pissed at us for trying to understand your "simple post"

Take your $3k and buy a car with a V8. It's doubtful you'll be able to pull off a successful engine/trans swap.

Sorry but contrary to popular belief Mustang owners can read/write in English and would have just as much trouble if you made a post on their forums that looked like this:

im stuck between a rock and a hard place..i have a v6 99 stang and im ready for a swap but dont kno witch1 to go with? i have a bout 3or4 thousand to spend on motor and trans and sum bolt ons..but dont kno wut!!! its so fustrating...lol!!if n e 1 can help me on some tips on wut motor and sum good bolt ons for it to bring out the power more please write me back... thanx

If your heart is set on a engine/trans swap, then I can recommend calling these guys in Bristol, PA. They pull complete engine and transmissions from wrecked Camaros and Corvettes. You can purchase one of their units complete with wire harness to every nut and bolt you'll need. I've bought a couple engines from them and I've been very happy with the deals.

Thanks for resorting to childish insults so quick. I'll let the others post helpful info now that you were finally able to make it clear what you are asking for.

I agree with Cosmic, don't waste your time or money on an engine swap. It will be very difficult and you will likey spent much more than $3k on it. It not like you can just take engine 1 and replace with engine 2. Different tranny, shorter driveshaft, having to move accessories like power steering, new pulleys/belts, etc.

Find yourself an 4th gen with a V8 and sell you V6.
