TSP Headers installed

Got my new TSP 304 SS headers installed today. Thanks Blaise. It was amazing how well these things fit. From the time we jacked up the car to the time we took it off the jack stands, it took us 2 1/2 hrs. It took more time to get the old manifold and cats off than it took to get the new headers and cats on. Everything bolted up tight, no leaks and it sounds great. Can't wait to get it tuned, but I can already feel more power. Thanks Matt for getting these to me so quickly. Thanks again Blaise for doing almost all of the work.

Here are a couple of pics showing the install and I'll try to get a video posted tomorrow.

Not at all. They slid up in place with no trouble at all. Plenty of clearance from steering shaft as well as everything else.

Great you hear you like them. Now you guys know why I spent so long getting them into production. I had to feel like they fit perfect and dominated all header brands at ANY price!

Wow those headers do look nice. What is the cost? I have already added an SLP axle back but would like to add headers, etc. Will this fit the vert?

These headers look great! Jason, 2 questions: 1) Do I need the O2 extensions if I go with the catless mid? 2) Do you do Hot Jet coating? If so what is the cost and how do we order the coating when placing order online? Thanks!

Here's the link to the headers. The o2 extensions are required & are available when you order!

Running good without the tune, but I know it will run a lot better once I get the tuning done.

Do they hang any lower than the factory exhaust? Do they hang lower than the frame of the car? I'm on the fence about headers. This is my daily driver and I don't want them dragging on anything. Can you take a side pic so I can get an idea of how low they hang? I appreciate it!

You can get them coated locally. The cost will be about $250 though. There is a great place over in Carrollton that does them.

Long story, but I don't live with my camaro. I'd rather have them be delivered coated so I don't have to run around town.

The collector hangs just below the frame since it's so much larger than the original pipe, but my exhaust actually sits about 1/2" higher after the header install. At least that's how it looks at the tunnel brace.

I studied this for a long time, but when the TSP headers came out, I just couldn't pass up a high quality header for such a low price. I figured I could get most of my money back by selling if they were too much trouble. The guys at TSP did a great job designing these pipes. They fit like they came on the car originally. I can hardly wait to get a tune to get the most out of these pipes.

Next step will definitely be a VVT cam from TSP. I just can't decide between the VVT-1 or the VVT-2.

I would definitely go long-tubes instead of shorties. You'll have more power and torque for the money with long-tubes.

I don't think there are any plans for a 2.5" collector. With 1 7/8" primaries, I wouldn't put a 2.5" collector on my car. I haven't heard anything on the coating. Maybe Jason can shed more light on that.

Your connection pipes will go from 3" down to 2.5" just like most of the other headers do.

Is it possible to use the stock cats with the TSP headers? If so, what's the difference in performance between the stock cats and the TSP cats?
