2010 Camaro price increase price protection new status 2500 Order sent to production
Hello again Guys
so last week my order was placed and today it's been updated the status again to the 2500 Order sent to production hopefully I will get an official build week next It should be the 3rd week of March Does anyone know about the price protection process ? As you may know they had a price increase already depending on when you order the car you are protected and are suppose to get the old price then the dealer is credited back by GM It looks like mine went up $235.00 2SS SUNROOF BLACK 20 INCH HIGH POLISHED WHEELS The sticker price will show the new price so you will have to get with you dealer to get the credit up front Here are the details DON'T PAY MORE THEN YOU NEED TO........ I am not allowed to reprint the entire message but here is the summary Chevrolet will announced revised 2010 model year prices for Camaro effective with vehicles produced on or after February 18, 2009. Model and option dealer discounts will be reduced. Dealer invoice amounts will increase accordingly. Sold order price protection eligibility dates are dictated by the customer and dealer order dates as follows: -Customer order date must be prior to the date of the price increase. -GM systems order date (date dealer enters in GM system) must be no more than one work day after the date of the price increase. These units will be invoiced at prices in effect at the date of production; however, the dealer open account will automatically be credited for the price increase once the unit has been delivered. Double check your event codes............I think you have been "Preferenced" so far and not sent to production yet. At least that's what my documentation said when I hit 2500 weeks ago.
Either way, welcome to the waiting line............. 1100, Preliminary order accepted 2000, Order accepted by GM 2500, Order preferenced 3000, Order accepted by production control 3100, Order available to sequence 3300, Order scheduled for production 3400, Order broadcast 3800, Order produced 4000, Available to ship 4150, Original invoice to the dealer 4200, Shipped by the plant 4800, Bayed with the carrier 5000, Delivered to the dealer

Pretty sure "preferenced" is fancy talk for "sent to production". There's just varying levels of "sent to production" (as shown by the various codes for production processes).

The ones in my signature aren't from a Corvette, they are from my order and 2500 on mine said preferenced. 3400 is when it is sent to production. Again, per my Order Workbench.

Hey everybody I'm new here. I ordered a 2ss/rs black on black white rally stripes auto 6 speed polished 20s. ordered on march 13. I noticed alot of you are at status code 1000 ,1100. My workbench says I'm at 2000 when I recieved it from the dealer. How did I get a 2000 out of the gate?

This is getting realy unfair. There's no way that people who ordered two weeks ago should have their orders accepted befor people who ordered 6 months ago.
Can someone explain to me how this is happening? Don't get me wrong, I'm very happy for those who are getting theirs like this, but I"m sure you could understand my (our) frustration. Sean W |

Could it be that 1100 was only for orders during the pre-ordering ? Maybe all orders start at 2000 now that production has begun ?
It might just be an "equivalent" stage now...

I read a post that mentions FEBRUARY.....so I wonder, how old is this? Is this a dealership's memo? Do I need to did way back into the gm memo archive to try and understand? I guess I'm not getting the point of this post.....that or I had one hell of a long week!

The so called price increase took place sometime in Feb. but that was just on the automatic transmissions on the SS models. The V6 Transmission is still the same priice last time I checked.

OK, I'm reading this, inserting my own paragraphs...
1. Order placed last week now at 2500: Conclusion - dealership had allocation and consensus, but did not have an order (yes, some don't even know they CAN order yet!) 2. Summary.....OK, this is true of any regular order, that your pricing is that at the time the order is in the system - SO, if you place a order say, on MONDAY......and on Thursday a price increase goes in effect, you get the price at the time of your order....nothing new, it's how it always has been. What was confusing was all this info in one paragraph. |

Hey people I feel really bad for those still at status 1100. But I'm just trying to understand why I got 2000 out of the gate? and why some are still at 1100?

yes - the allocation was designed and is being followed. The only way this would happen is, is if a dealer did not place any orders....So if a dealership was to have 10 as their estimated guide number....all of a sudden they have consensus to have an order built....Joe Ford Hater walks in and places an order, and it gets pulled to that spot...Have you been skipped? no. The dealership can enter an order for that spot for his lot now, or for a customer. If they didn't want to order (or even more scarier, didn't know they COULD sell sold pre-orders)until now, it really didn't make a difference to the "master allocation plan". But, Keep this in mind...while some dealers sold there allocation, and some sold over, there are surely some that may not have sold ANY, or have sold LESS than they could have...Don't feel cheated, as I said before, its not the date of your order, but your position at the dealership you ordered from.

maninbrown - where did you order from in SD? I was going to order from Billion in Sioux Falls but they wanted $5k to $10k over msrp on the 5 they had allocated back in October. I was going to order with CamaroScotty as he is the best dealer on this forum but I went with Karl Chev in Ankeney IA as they were a little closer to Sioux Falls. Welcome to the club and I hope you get your car sooner than later.
