Nitrous IS why you can burn more fuel. The nitrous changing state from liquid to gas causes the intake air temp to drop hense denser air/ more air per stroke so more fuel to the mix. The reason the bottle (charged) goes into the bath is to keep it at 92 degrees. That temp has been determined to insure that it will come out at the desired psi. The size of the jets and the angle they spray into the cylinder heads has been tweeked too. depending on the ambient temp and humidity the jets could be changed out to a larger or smaller orifice to get the desired flow rate. My brother races in Wild Street bracket (8.5 sec 1/4 mile) where the smallest tweek can cost you the race. Just last weekend he broke out (8.47) because the air temp dropped by the time he got to the line. He was done for the day so for the hell of it his mechanic put in a larger jet and he ran an 8.10. I forget what the numbers are when it's not on the gas, some where around 920 HP. And 1350 on the N2O. The nitrous doesn't get switched on until after the burnout and just before staging, then purge the lines, then it kicks in at a pre determined rpm, then cuts out below a set rpm and switched off after trapping. It's very hard on the engine. He breaks down the engine after a couple sessions to check for wear and tear. He's an old video of his car during a test and tune. He had a lot of issues at the time and ran in the 10s. I will be getting new video the next time he runs including in car video.

Here's a recent run from this past weekend. Unfortunatly he broke out and was disqualified. Just couldn't slow the beast down.

Note to NGK plug owners

This is a quote.
"I do NOT recommend re-gapping an Iridium spark plug as you will likely damage the core without even realizing it (meaning they will still run, just not to their optimum potential). This is straight from NGK themselves, as they say in their literature it would be better to run one of their Iridium plugs at the incorrect gap than it would be for you to re-gap them and run them there. "

And you can run a sub 11.5 once. They might not give you the time slip though...

yeah, installation is fairly easy. Just need to lay out where you want everything installed.
