I'm going to wait and see what people say about it before dropping $60 on it. I have to admit that it has caught my eye and I'm hoping you guys give it glowing reviews.

It's received good reviews already. Gamespot gave it 9.0

I tend to trust friends' reviews more than Gamespot because my friends typically like the same types of games I do whereas Gamespot has given great reviews in the past to games I didn't care for.

Send a message via AIM to Gigachip
I'll wait and see what people who buy it say. I don't like to listen to the ones paid to review

I bought it and i like it alot im not totally in love with it though but worth the money. There not as much action as Rockstars last games more solving crimes and finding clues and questioning people to get the right answers to see if they are lying or not. Good game i recommend buying it.

Well... it's made by Rockstar, so it's kinda hard to go wrong I've been playing it the last couple days, GREAT game! Controls feel exactly like GTA (driving and walking and such), but this is not a 'go and cause random mayhem' game. Though you can do that, there are repercussions (remember, you're a detective).

Story line is pretty cool so far, though personally I've taken more time just stopping at random street crimes and finding the various hidden cars around the map... which, by the way, is freaking GIANT! Another bonus: I think just about all the cars in the game were scanned in from Jay Leno's personal collection.

Another cool little factor: since they used the face scanning tech for this game, you'll see a lot of in game characters that look nearly identical to their real life counterparts. First time I've gone through a game and had the "I've seen this guy/gal in a movie or show somewhere..." Very cool

The only disappointing thing so far about this game: After playing this, every other game is going to fall short when it comes to realistic facial expressions. Seriously, it's amazing how good they are, and everything else is going to seem a bit plasticy and odd by comparison.

So yes, would highly recommend this game

Thanks for the write up and heads up!! I trust reviews like this more than any "paid" reviewer.

Just got the game. Very cool so far but I suck as a detective. Hahah! You have to be able read their faces and tell if theyre lying. Plus you have to find clues, decide which are trivial and ask the right questions.

Just a heads up. I don't know if the game goes this far but it might.

The way real life officers doing an interrogation judge your body language for truth or lies is in your eyes.

When someone looks up and to the right they are accessing a true thought and when someone looks down and to the left they are manufacturing one.

I learned to lie while looking up an long time ago

There are definitely eye movements you can pick up on, but I haven't noticed a trend of "if they look this way, its a lie". So far the trick has been to look for little quirks in their manner that didn't show when they were telling the truth.
