My ghost cam

I got a excited and did the tune before I had my long tubes or highflows on. The cold start sounded good but then the ghost cam went away or was super quiet after the cold start. There is more shaking during normal idle but can't really hear anything. When i started the car up the cruise was armed but the cam kicked in anyways. The cruise control seems to have no effect on it.

I think its really cool that a tune can make it sound like its cammed but not my taste. I already get too paranoid with extra noises. I opted no ghost cam.

Imo, my assessment after doing lots of tests... is that the Ghost Cam option is fun... but not totally worthwhile to the people who Race their cars. It's cool and stuff for show... but, I think I'm staying with just the extra HP tune for now. Though i've requested a new Ghostcam tune with the 13HP anyway, just for my tune library.

Wow, well that video shows a huge difference during cold start, but you are right about after it idles down. Sounds cool, but I'd like to see more from other users and from those with LTs as well, which hopefully a video of that will pop up in the other ghost cam thread soon.

interesting... how loud is your exhaust at idle with the stock tune? does it usually get that quiet when it idles down?

I really like how it sounds on cold start and I'd definitely want this once it gets completely finished (didn't jagan catch a CEL recently?)

I want to hear this with ARH longtubes/MRTv1

Yeah it's about the same as the stock idle. There really isn't a difference which why I shot Vince an email.

Update: When I started up this morning there was no "ghost cam" cold start. I toggled the switch and nothing. It did however go back to the rough shaking and such at normal idle.

Yeah, just to make it clear to everyone. The cold start "Cam effect" isn't suppose to happen. When it dissapears, that's when it's proper.

Vince has tuned it so the cam effects kick in when the engine is warmed up. So get your car to 150-200 degrees before you hear it really come in. =)

Didn't he say you also need to drive it for a while to get the tune to "set in?"

Vince emailed me back. He says he is working with another customer on the ghost cam on off issue and will get me an update. He also stated higher idle temps might happen due to the ghost cam causing reduced coolant flow from the unstable idle.

I really liked the cold start ghost idle myself.... I'd want it on both tables.
