I believe none of the A6 guys have 3.55 gears. Most of them, including myself, don't believe the price for the install and the gears itself is worth the result. We are waiting for 3.73, or some of us have just decided to possibly completely swap out the rear differential.

Scrming thinks 4.10 or no dice =p But he's always a 'go big or go home' kind of guy LOL.

Yeah I am waiting but it will be done. Like Jagan said I would like the 3.73. Would be curious though how much the 3.55 would affect gas mileage. I would hate to lower it too much as it would kinda defeat some of the benefit of the v6

Me too guys I heard that 3.73 is the best for street racing and daily driving as well. The 4.10 is a killer for those who look for performance!

No one yet knows what a 3.55 really does on an auto.

Maybe Apex can help! He seems to know about those gears a lot.

Im thinkin 373 would be all ide want running stock components. 410 in an auto would be pretty torque'y

410s in an auto would make a great drift car. Wth my 19s and stock tires it's pretty easy power sliding as it is.

Ok guys here's what I did got most my parts from member sellrs and e-bay.
1-V8/M6 diff with already modified posi so thus 3:45 gears 700.00
2-V8/A6 axles. 100.00 for both
3-V8/A6 drive shaft $100.00 (Use your trany section shaft of you V6 and use the diff end of the V8 shaft and thus you get the correct length.
4-New cushion for V8 drive shaft end
5-2 Rear wheel bearing hubs for a V6/M6. (I originally forgot these. Bought new at $140.00 ea. total 280.00
6- Trifecta tune to call speedo. and Vince modded some other stuff too such as shift poins etc.

NO tune needed if you use the diff with the 3:27 gears..V6/M6 V8/A6

I think I got my cake and ate it too.. lol probably cost just a litle more or less than a gear change on a V8. Figure gears/kit/labor/tune. (gets expensive). Sorry guys no pics. I could take some of the left overs of the A/6 if you want
