And the corresponding-sized 19" tires would also save a pound or two per tire vs. a 20". 10-15 additional lb. savings, but at the expen$e of validating new rims...while reducing crucial unsprung weight.

The end cost to GM, 19s vs. 20s, would likely be a draw on the Zee, but might save some on the cost of the ZL1 by greater piece-cost savings if the Zee used its 20s.

The 19's shorter tire diameters, in and of themselves, would also slightly lower the car, enhancing handling through lower cg.

Number 3, what say you?
I can tell you that the 305/30/19s break even on the front and save on the rear. They would fit the image of a road course ready Z28. Let's see what #3 says.

I don't personally expect a totally redone body for the '13 Zee...but I've been wrong before...

Why don't you 'shop one for the Alpha platform? Then post it in the 'shop sub-forum...

Shitty, but I have had some track time recently. I am going to the US on Monday for 4 weeks, I got a few friends over there that have some info on some stuff and I will be going to look at some parts as well. I was diagnosed with spinal stenosis which was caused by the rupture. I am just counting down the days to the civilian world, I should be working for the DoD for awhile until I can get into Ford or GM (hopefully). Either way, I will be making a lot more money than I am now which will go back into the car. Other than that, I am doing pretty good...

That would be kinda hard to do without knowing what alpha is going to be like

Just give me a Gen5 Z28 with a nose, hood and rear spoiler change. The big body changes can wait for Alpha. I really like the look of the Gen5.

"Not knowing..."

"Blank canvas..."

Take the ATS spyshot and let your imagination run WILD...

Think "evolutionary", as opposed to "revolutionary". Mustang's recent "mistakes" need to be heeded...

Think "Foose", as opposed to "change for the sake of change"!

Update:

I just talked with Jim Perkins, who informs me Rick Hendrick has no desire to own LS7-powered Z/28 Number 1...so I guess that one can be mine...

What...maybe I spoke to MARLIN Perkins, talkin' 'bout JIMMY HENDRIX...no, that can't be...can it?!

$5,000 and you too can choose your vin! (not commenting on the cost, just saying 'Vette's allow you to do that)

So are we any closer to getting that Z28/LS7 done?
I've got 1 empty garage bay to fill.

I want a blue one, no wait a grey one, black? never mind I have a black car.
Just looked outside and what sets in the driveway? A red one with white stripes, and my yard full of every color Z/28 possible.
Alarm goes off and I wake up.
