Removing Dealer Badging

I figured I'm done advertising the dealership I bought my camaro from and am ready to remove their badging that's stuck to the back of the trunk on the left side of the bowtie.

What's the best way to go about this? It's a sort of thin, white sticker, not a raised plastic or anything. Looks like it's on there pretty good though.

Thoughts?

Use Goo Gone to get the residue off, then clean your car very thoroughly.

I don't like goo gone or any of that stuff. I just left the adhesive and give an extra scrub every time I wash, and it is going away slowly and safely

Thin Fishing Line - Stay close to emblem as you are working (rather then the paint) - cut right through tape.. I used Goo Gone and worked fine. Get the one that says Goo Gone on the bottle though :-)

Good Luck!

WD-40 super safe on paintwork, cleans up the adhesive. FYI use it on the rack to remove the rubber streaks that you get on your paintwork from flying rubber!!

I stick masking tape on the emblem making sure it sticks to the emblem real good with about 3"s hanging off to grab then heat it with a blow dryer a little bit then slowly pull the masking tape and the sticker usually will come off with the masking tape.

You mean, Goo Gone - Automotive Formula. There is a difference.

WD-40 can stain your paint. I would not advise anyone to use that for this application.
