Lights for the HVAC controls

Ok, why in the blue heck cant I turn off the lights for the HVAC? If I have it blowing to my feet and turn the knob all the way to the left in theory to turn off the HVAC, why doesnt my light turn off!? The lights stay on no matter what button I use. Does everyones stay on?? Why cant I turn it off? It just annoys me that the light is on even though Im not using the HVAC..

Mine does the same. Don't know why they did that. I tried switching from face/feet to just feet with the blower off. (not really paying attention) The feet only light turned on but after the car was shut off then restarted, it went back to face/feet setting.

Because if it's night time and you want to use your HVAC you can see to turn it on.

Sorry to drag up an old thread but was looking for a different one and could only find this. Somewhere semi-recently someone posted how to make the light go off but I forget what the process was...Anyone else know?
