ordered $5 of red and black sheets of adhesive vinyl and tada
![]() ![]() if you want to try: Cutting Cutting before pasting required careful consideration of the pointed chin done in halves with the seem at the tip of the chin (invisible after pasting) placed sheet of black adhesive vinyl (bought on ebay but same idea as the stripes, which are factory) and roughly measured what excess can be cut off. The driver side was done first with a sheet going all the way back to the bolts (about 2 inches in front of the scratch guard that's down there)...BUT on the passenger side, I did it in 2 pieces, one to do the visible part and one to black out the under-part *nota bene I made cuts length wise on the under-part so that the car's curves did not produce folds in the relatively large sheet of vinyl vinyl application technique I cleaned the area down well with carwash solution + water and then just before pasting, I wiped it down with a 50/50 mix of isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol from 99 cent store) and water. Before pasting the vinyl, I sprayed the area well with the soapy water mix + the sticky part of vinyl ...when i pasted it was "slidey" so i got the best positioning finished off with a squeege to remove to soap-water (for the bow tie i just used my finger and smoothed it out lol) & just for overkill i used a blow-dryer (lol makeshift heat gun) to mold the vinyl (careful not to burn/melt though!)
