I need help with a 305 - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I need help upping HP from a 1981 305 v8, what kind of suggestions do people have? i was thinking thinking maybe a cam/lifter for it, I was wondering what i should do for pistons to maybe increase the Compression ratio.

I have hured that 305 have low compression so to get alot of hp from a slug put a blower on it.

pull it out and put in a 350.

seriously. the price vs power to up a 305 compared to a 350 is stupid high

+3. Go to Summit or any site of your choice and get a crate motor. Drop it in and you're good to go.

+ 1000! And it's cheaper if you find one that was recently rebuilt.
