240 vs. v6

Does anybody know who should win in this kind of race? A 95-98 240sx manual, or a 98 v6 automatic camaro

I would go with the camaro because of the HP difference and the trans, unless the 240 driver is really good and can out shift the auto in a straight line

I'm going with the Camaro. Expect, however, for the 240SX to be modified. Those cars tend to be aggressively modified. Hopefully, the Camaro can compete with the appropriate mods.

it's really hard to find a 240 that ain't had something done to it (unless some old lady's owned it). believe me, i looked for one for almost a year.

my bet's on the camaro, based on the torque difference, but give the 240 long enough & it'll catch up. i got a 95 5spd (with a 97 engine) to 110 pretty quick. they're a bit lighter than an f body.

if it's one of these...

the camaro's screwed!!

I'm not too worried about it being modded. Reason being is that he has a "track" car that he mods, and this is his "daily driver". I've seen it and heard it and it doesn't seem to have any mods.

Ive seen some sick 240's but depending on the mods Id vote camaro...stock vs stock camaro hands down. But the 240 does have a LOT of room for improvement
