The white Lucas Camaro started in 25th and worked or rather stormed his way to the lead, he is back in the field now but displayed dominating speed never the less.

If your not following the series it hard to tell who's driving what because they only show drivers names in the overall points stats and don't show what there driving.

Just got home from seeing the autohaus camaro winning the rolex race. There was also a huge crash in turn one the orange camaro going up over a 12ft fence and into the trees. Thankfully the driver walked away. If you go to speedtv.com you can see it.

That crash was insane! I can't believe he walked away from that. Great testament to how safe these cars are.

Unfortunately, from what I was watching on SPEED, the Autohaus Camaro had possible fuel issues the last lap and came in 5th after leading with one lap to go. I believe they had to go 1 lap further than they had anticipated due to the DP leader's position.

Next time

The BMW's and Mustangs have had smaller restrictors in place to slow them down and allowed the Camaro to run a larger restrictor and a larger rear spoiler. This is to help make the Camaro's and Caymans more competitive. The Ford's and BMW's were running away with the series before this.

Quote:
"Grand-Am officials made a few rule changes to limit the BMWs and Mustangs, and help out the Camaros. Coming into Watkins Glen, series officials eliminated the air intake restrictor from the Camaros, and specified a smaller restrictor for the BMWs and Mustangs."

mext race they should finish 1,2,3,4,5 if there are no yellows. then the ford/bmw teams will pull out of the series and chevy can win every race.

Not sure what GA was thinking. They absolutely had the Camaros tied down, then all of a sudden gave them WAY too much

Honestly, the power they gave us brings us back to about what we were last year relative to the competition. The big changes have been all the testing GM has granted us, allowing for us to finally scratch out some question marks for the big Camaro and its somewhat odd suspension layout.

2 in a row for John and I with Stevenson... see if we can finish out the season right!
