Am a proud new Member of the Camaro family!

Hello everybody. I am a newbe to the forum, and a proud new owner of an RS/2SS Inferno Orange Camaro. it is a 2010 with every factory option available -- even the subwoofer -- including the two-tone black and orange interior, etc. It has a full Razzi body kit. I am like a kid in a candy store ordering all of the aftermarket stuff -- already put on a black rear bowtie emblem and have ordered lots of color-matched interior trim pieces (steering wheel trim, both gauge cluster trim pieces); Floyd black carpeted mats with Orange "Camaro SS" and orange binding. Have the blacked-out front grille, and am blacking out all of the lights and replacing chrome tail light bezels with black ones. Already got the G5CR CAI and heat shield, which is going in this week. Love the short shifter, and the torque on this beast is amazing. I have always been a foreign car guy, and this car has opened up my eyes to the wonders of the current American automotive industry. Here are a couple of pics, as well as a few pics of other of my cars. (The orange one is an IMSA Camel Lights GTP car, campaigned by Jim Downing, and then converted to street use). Am daily driving the Camaro, so every day is a blast behind the wheel. This car replaced my Mercedes CLK 500 Cabriolet. Look forward to exchanging lots of thoughts and info with you all!

Very, Very nice. Welcome aboard & enjoy your new permagrim inducing machine. You may have to enlighten some of us to the joys of some of your other toys! Clearly, I chose the wrong line of work! See ya around C5.

Thanks to all who so quickly responded! Yes, all of the cars put a big smile on my face, but there is nothing like pure American muscle! The GTP is "street legal." I live in Maryland, but I set up an LLC in Montana and have it registered there, so it has Montana plates. They have no inspection requirements -- when I tried getting it inspected in Maryland, the inspection guy literally laughed out loud. Didn't even try to hide his amusement. Here are a couple of pics of my GTP car as raced.

The 911 was custom-built about 6 years ago -- it has been shown in several shows, including the Motor Trend Magazine International Car Show in the Baltimore Convention Center a few years ago. It's got a wild black and yellow interior, and a normally aspirated 3.2 Carrera motor was bored out to a 3.4 and carbeurated. The Testarossa is a 1987, with 26,000 original miles, which I have owned for 10 years. It has the cats removed and it has stainless seel bypass test pipes, and puts out about 410 hp. But the star of the moment is the Camaro....am LOVING it!

Welcome and grats! Considering your collection, it's great to see a Camaro parked among them.

peter, CONGRATS and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in them...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's and wive's here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Welcome!!

Welcome to the club, and I really like the stable of cars you have. Nice taste. We have a wealth of information here and all you need to do is search one of the many sub-forums to find what you need.
