I had the opprtunity for two pulls on the Livernois portable dyno while at the Rodgers Chevrolet Camaro show. I was the first one on the dyno this morning. Working on loading up the video. I will get the dyno sheets on Monday and post them up that time.

Here is mine from back in Feb. I won a Dark Horse Trophy and shocked everyone including myself. Did not expect these numbers from a V6.
Mods are Airaid CAI and flowmaster axleback AT Exhaust. Manual Transmission.

Congrats on the trophy. Don't take this the wrong way, but something was wrong with the reading....HP is WAYYYY high and the TQ is high as well.

That does seem very high. Dynoing the car in the wrong gear? Those are SS numbers.

That look like crank numbers, not at the wheels. I know some dynos can calculate crank numbers through whp. Maybe that was the case here because we all know a V6 with no FI is not putting that type of number down to the rear LOL.

All I can tell you is that it was a dyno day at the Majestic Motorsports. They did about 30 or so cars of all makes and models. I paid my $50.00 waited my turn and that is what they came up with. All I did was stand by the side while they did 3 runs.

I don't doubt the fact that you are giving us what you got, but I'm telling you now with all respect that those numbers are not right by far if it's been calculated as wheel horse power. What I think happened was, the number has been converted to crank number given the drive train loss percentage. I believe super flow bench has the capability to do so. I hope this can clear up some answer, but I say call them and ask if you can come back and redo the dyno.

Mike.

The torque numbers look GREAT if you ask me...assuming those are accurate numbers thats well over 300lbs at the crank...but I was expecting more on the HP front....that number seems a bit off to me.

Oh wells...as always can't take dyno readings as gospel. Thanks for sharing!

I agree, HP seems a touch low and TQ seems a touch high. But for getting a couple pulls for charity it was worth the time to say I did it. More importantly for me is taking it to the track and having fun. I watch many of our club members put thier V8 up on the dyno and talk big numbers but have never been down the track either.

I agree with that statement....just wish I could say the same about the track part lol

It definitely is off. I don't mean to start any negative feedback about a well respected shop, but I've heard a LOT of whispers since the show that there might be some fudging of numbers for any car that isn't their customer. My buddy's Camaro with a 6.0L and a healthy cam couldn't even break 300hp on their portable dyno, but yet yesterday at my website's dyno day it hit 380hp. Both dynos were dynojets. I'm not saying Mike's HP numbers are over 80hp off, but it's definitely higher than what Livernois gave him.

Nice dyno pull Brian. Shows that the manual LFX is pulling some good numbers up top. Time to come out to Lapeer with us in November and run the 1/4 and see what it can do. Best $25 you can spend for some legal passes.

Since the original owner of this thread has been suspended what's the plans for taking over this sticky? I'd be happy to take it over but *as far as I know* Tran or someone with access to the backend of the database would have to change the author of the thread to my user ID instead of bmorecam and then I'd be able to edit the first post and keep it updated.

Bmore is still here, he goes under one of the MACE Eng. names now. He is a rep for them and said that his account should be reinstated soon. But having more than one person update this would be awesome if they can do it like that.

Ah, I didn't know that about bmore. As long as he's still around that's cool with me, I just wanted to make sure we keep the thread alive. I can't believe I'm the ONLY person with a 2012 LFX M6 that's been on a dyno.

Theres been others with LFX's that have dyno'd, and there are even some LFX numbers on the first post.

Only problem with adding LFX numbers to the post is that this is now the LLT section. I don't have a problem with it...it just could be confusing or difficult to find.

The three numbers for LFX in the spreadsheet are automatics. That's why I said the only one with an M6. But I do agree. Question is - do we (LFX guys) start a new thread in the LFX subsection or just leave it here? I'm game either way.

Hey guys - just because it seems to make more sense, I ended up creating an LFX Dyno thread in the LFX section. I don't mean to step on any toes or try to discredit the work that bmorecam or anyone else has done thus far. Just felt it made more sense to have our own thread over in the LFX forum since ultimately that would be the logical place to look for dyno numbers for the LFX.
