I wonder if the possible price increase will be reflected in the new web site.

298 or 304?

Interesting how the specs are listed as 298 HP for the V6 in some places and 304 in others...and it looks like the V6 is listed as 26 MPG instead of 27. Not that I'm being nit-picky or anything! We'll see which number they settle on soon enough!

If GM wanted to do a site design like this for the whole Chevy site, it would be a welcome update. I'm impressed if this is what they've got -- nothing too flashy or annoying (that means you, Pontiac) yet hardly boring (current Chevy site). Each car on the Chevy site has a separate design, there is no uniformity. This is nice and clean. Can't wait until it goes live on Monday -- need something to distract myself until everyone elses' Camaros are rolling around town.

it also says that grey stripes are unavailable on a 2SS...weird huh? Well I ordered mine that way, so I'm pretty sure thats an error since this is a work in progress page.

Thank you Scotty,

My dealer has not been able to give me any information on when my camaro was to be built. This is great!

I can't even imagine the anticipation you all must be feeling waiting on your Camaro to arrive. I already can't wait for the near future and I am unable to get one for a long, long time :(.

Haha, did anyone notice if you click on Photo Gallery, you get Cobalt pictures instead of Camaro pictures? I guess the site's still under development, oh well.

Looks like chevy's website is getting a complete makeover.

http://dev.chevrolet.com

I like it...looks good and on par with the japs. The old site certainly looked outdated and not as nice as toyota or others.

I hope they roll this website out tomorrow...still has some bugs though.

BTW...according to the comparison on the chevy website, SS has 430 HP and V6 has 298 HP...not quite 300 but close enough

It's pretty screwed up though - it's still showing the ABL going completely across the dass, plus all the way around the door inserts. What we were told the ABL is only seemed to go across the TOP of the door panel.

Why advertise something that we can't have? I know it says "Preproduction model shown" and this is Chevy's way of saying "some things may change from what you see in this picture", but come on, get some graphics people on the case & make that picture reflect what will TRULY be available - I love the ABL all the way across the dash....quit teasing me....

Or is it possible that once October hits, we WILL get the ABL across the dash, just like the picture shows?

FWIW - I think you are confusing ABL with the trim that runs across the dash and down to the door panels. In the original design there was a fiber optic that outlined this trim. I don't know what happened between design and production but this feature is not available at this time. It could indeed be a RPO in the future or even an aftermarket item, but I suppose it has to do with customer demand. (as always)

To those involved at Chevy: Bravo on creating a slick, fun website with a good customization feature for the Camaro!

I'd like to see images of the interior and be able to change it with my interior selection, though...

I think it's quite impressive too. Just did a build. It does show the SS auto trans as $1,185 and the Rally stripes are now $470. I hadn't heard about the stripes increasing from $395, although I'm sure these are LPO and thus the CGM and White aren't even listed. Maybe the factory installed are still the same.
