$600-800 seems to be about average. I varies depending on labor rates.

If it's the shop I think you're at... they are normally on the high side, but the work is good...

You can get them at APEX. Here is a link to an article on our blog about gear swaps. Give it a read and feel free to shoot me a PM if you have any questions.

Paid $614 labor at a local trans shop. No regrets, enjoy the car alot more now.
I made sure to fuss/whine before the job about putting their best man on it, as I didn't want any problems after. Just enuff to let'em know I'd be a PIA.
They did a great job!

I paid $600 for my install ('took 6 hours). Not cheap, but worth every penny!

You might consider having the differential bushes swapped out while the gears are being installed. Could save you some labor down the road should you choose to add them. Definitely worth the upgrade.

If your going to get the new gears FOR SURE swap the diff bushings while you are there.

I paid about $700 in labor to have my Richmond 4.10s installed and $0 in labor to have my stock 3.45s put back 1000 miles later when my 4.10s exploded.

Mine lasted 1/8 of a pass, street tires, stock car with aftermarket toe bars, trailing arms and bushings... just saying. Plenty are lasting, many are not. If youre going 9"... save your money now and just swap with the 9". just my 2 cents.... its your $1200.

I am a previous mustang owner from 2000-2009 and I noticed that too.Seems a lot of mods are expensive on this car.Must be because it is still relatively new.

Because the same gears fit 1 million different differentials on the road today. Ford has used the same 8.8 pumpkin since the early 90s

The camaro gears fit... the camaro differential. Only.
