Well, any of the name brand ones, Kooks or ARH will be good. Prob 1 7/8, without cats. As for the cat back. I have the Kooks full system and when you are behind the car is F*#king loud. But the Corsa sport is nice and loud too!

i'm not hating, but your age shouldnt have anything to do with upgrades your looking for. you knew what you were doing when you put it in the title.
i'm doing ARH LT either 1-7/8 or 2 with cats (have emissions), with a Borla ATAK catback, should be pretty loud. If you dont have emissions, pretty much any muffler setup plus some LT headers without cats will be pretty loud. If you can make it rain, a good sounding cam is also a option. |

Sure thing; not quite sure why you are getting hammered here. When my son was 17 he had an IROC Z while in high school. He respected it and ending up selling it for a decent profit. It wasn't brand new but was a great car to get him into the hobby. I had crap cars when in high school; my advice is to enjoy every minute of it loud exhaust and all!

Next time don't start a thread with "I'm 16" there's no need for anyone to know your age, and it only starts arguments about age.

If you wanna shake the neighbors out of bed when you start the car then go with ARH 1 7/8 long tube, HF cats, X-Pipe, and SLP Loud Mouth 1. Beware of drone and rasp............But this system is the loudest i have heard. With that said Im selling my X-Pipe and SLP Loud Mouth 1 because it scares the Sh#t out of my daughter when is start it in the morning.
![]() Now I have the Magnaflow Comp 3" Catback w/ electric cutouts. This runs smooth and deep. If I wanna make a statement i push a button. My .02............ Have fun and be safe! |

I say congrats on the new car!!!! I have several clients that are young and have cool ass cars. If you want it loud go with the Billy Boat Sport exhaust with Hi-flow cats and their Long Tube Headers. This will certainly turn plenty of heads. I'll try and post a video if I can figure out how to do it. If you have any questions you can call me at the shop anytime.

What does your age have to do with modding your car?
SMFH no need to brag about it to us.

Why did you post your age in the title?
![]() Every punk kid that got a Camaro from his parents already started all their threads with "I'm only 12 and already have an SS" or "world's youngest Camaro owner?" or "I got for free what you work hard to pay for, and I'm only going to abuse it!" so unfortunately, your fun has already been ruined. Lead off advertising how young you are, and no one's going to be impressed or happy for you. They'll just leave you waiting for straight answers, and looking like this.

How much do you think headers cost?
Catback might be the way to go for you since you seem to not care as much about the performance side of the equation. It'll give you a nice sound and is much more wallet-friendly Last edited by TheClassicCarKid; 06-22-2011 at 02:17 AM. |

Read some mags, browse the forums, LEARN about cars in general. What kind of car did you learn to drive in? Did it have even half of the 426 HP that your brand new pride and joy makes? Do you know how to recover from a skid? Handle oversteer? Modulate throttle for traction? Do you know why a cam or headers result in a more aggressive exhaust note? Do you care? My point is, and I think many would agree with me..... you've been handed the keys to a car that most 16 year olds never get to sit in, much less drive. It's a big responsibility and you need to take a step back and realize what you're getting into. Cars are great and you'll love this one...but just take it easy man.
