Here is some food for thought.

A friends camaro has a kenny bell and a cam with 10psi of boost. With 8psi of boost in 60* weather it made 540rwhp. We bumped it up to 10psi and made a pull a week ago. The a/f was perfect but it made 466rwhp. Why? Because in 90*+ heat the ecm was pulling 15* of timing so it wouldnt grenade. IAT's were 150*+ wih fans blowing on the car. Heat kills especially with a s/c. He is now adding methanol injection to bring the IAT's down for summer track passes.

Damn. I"m thinking a more efficient set-up can be had as far as heat release. I've never heard of a 15% heat loss. Sounds dangerous to the engine.

Not really sure. Kinda. I'm not one to be impatient and bug the shop too much. I'm guessing Ron will come in and set us straight soon. I was thinking about going tomorrow to get it if it's ready.

Has he read the Super Chiller thread? an option with no reacurring cost and continueous IAT cooling....

exhaust manifold leak due to paper (?) gaskets. I should say headers I guess

Yup.

The Borla exhaust came with the felt gaskets and due to it being a Sunday, and I had a 7 hour drive ahead of me on Monday (year and a half or so ago) me and GTAHVIT just went ahead and used the felt gaskets.

That was it. Crazy.

29 minutes left on the video upload!!!! Randy went from having a loud "pop" at idle from the exhaust leak to a "miss" at idle now... For some reason the car LOPES!!!!!

Going on the dyno tomorrow. Finished up the install today/heat cycled the valvesprings and worked on drivability a good bit.

Had a snag on the install... Going from the L99 to the LS3 we had to change the valley cover.... BUT the Maggie requires a valley cover with no provision for the crankcase vent. Fortunately we were able to procure the correct valley cover and keep going

Ill hang out at the shop till the video is done and link it to this thread... Or maybe Ill go home and let everyone wait till tomorrow????
