You use the stock Maggie injectors too?

I got a BAP but stock injectors.

Too be honest, I don't know what comes with a TVS2300 kit. I just trusted Vengeance, and I did not pay for any fuel system upgrades.

Well good to know. I won't have to go with injector upgrades right away.

Is there a thread on that?

What type of mods, power, and lifters/rods?

The TVS2300 comes with 58 # injectors. I would definitely upgrade the injectors.

My 58# injectors would have exceeded their safe limits with my cam. I have 65# injectors now.

According to Jessika@Magnacharger, they are:

52lb/hr 4BAR (58psi)
They are LS9 ZR1 injectors.

Chris was one of our crew at the fest in the RJT car... Whipple build that was proven on the track and caravaned out and back and around the Grand Canyon and all. Blew a hole in the block, layed oil down and went over the guard rail and flipped 4 times. He walked away due to proper safety equipment...

It's amazing how fast something can go very very very wrong! That was a scary video, so glad he put some money in safety with all that power.

And, yeah.....Is this car built yet???

It's yet to be the cause of a failure of any kind. These injectors safely push the ZR1 Vette at over 600 HP and can easily go beyond. I think I'm still at a safe level with more to spare. If I were to go any further I'd change them. I did the BAP to be assured that the fuel will be there. If it's there, and the injectors keep up then it's done. That would be told when they tune it. But these should be good to 600 RWHP wich I'll be well short of.

Well, once you hit that 11.5 mark you are required to have the roll cage and harness or you can't race. But, ya, we see it doing it's job for sure.

Don't use me as the end all. I don't even know where I heard it. I just somehow thought that's what is was. I hope it is 10.99 so I can run without getting a cage.

With DRs on 18s I'm capable of sub 11.5s easy.

Sorry to break this to you 11.5 is the number you need a 4pt cage at... 10.99 is 5pt

Damn.

If I'm gonna do a cage, I might as well just do the 5 point and be done with it. If you think about it, it makes you safer all the time. Not just on the track. BUT, I still dont' know if my car will do below 11.5 until I take it out with some wheels. I'll be somewhere around 525 rwhp so maybe not. We'll see in October.

And his insurance paying out? Really? That's awesome. Howed he pull that off?

I am surprised that the insurance paid out since he was racing but glad it did.

Learned even more with the 11.5 and 10.99 stats. Good stuff.

October...

He'd been with State Farm for lots of years... Owen had just installed the 5th point on his cage and also did one for Russ and Madd600. The cage flexed and bent a bit in the rear which really proved it took a solid hit. Good thing it was not a bolt in kit or it would have come right out...

It is amazing how easily these cars can become monsters with a few mods. Crazy HP numbers for the track, then cruise on down to Applebee's for dinner. Versatility.

Not what I am reading:
If you are quicker than 9.99 or 135 MPH, then a jacket and pants meeting SFI Spec3.2A/5 and gloves meeting SFI Spec3.3/1 are mandatory.

4.Roll Bar All cars running 11.49 or quicker must be equipped with a roll bar conforming to NHRA general regulations.

5.Roll Cage All cars running 10.99 or quicker must be equipped with a roll cage conforming to NHRA general regulations*.

*By NHRA rules, a roll cage is not required in a full bodied car until 9.99 or 135MPH. The 2009 NHRA rule book shows that a roll cage is required between 10.99 and 10.00 only at speeds of 135 or higher.
