If you go below 11.50 a cage is required at most tracks. As you go faster the number or "points" in the cage go up. Like 5 point, 8 point, 10 point whatever. It's all lined out in the rule books.

That video was a bit spooky. I wanted to run 11.40s and get booted for no roll cage.....that video made me take pause for sure. My PB is 11.79 at 122...and I spun shifting to 2nd on DRs. I'd hate to flip the car off the track at that speed.

I'm thinking this was pretty much what I was saying... If not I appologize and simply meant you need something when breaking 11.5 and something else when breaking 11.0.

Since IRPQ has a slow Camaro it won't be an issue...

Well, what is throwing me off from your statement is the caveat at the bottom of my post:

4.6 ROLL CAGE

Roll cage mandatory in cars running 10.99 (*6.99) or quicker, or any car exceeding 135 mph (217.2 km/h). Full bodied cars, with unaltered firewall, floor and body (from firewall rearward, wheeltubs permitted), running between 10.00 (*6.40) and 10.99 (*6.99) roll bar permitted in place of roll cage. Cars running between 7.50 (*4.50) and 9.99 (*6.39) must have chassis inspected every three-years by the ASN and have a serialised sticker affixed to cage before participation. Must conform to specs for body style used, as listed in General Regulations 4.11, 10.6.

That should make it as clear as mud!

Hypurone is correct. The confusion comes in on whether the car has had the firewall or floorpans altered (the distinction between a still stock body in most every way VS a lightened and modified full bodied door car).

We run in several different NHRA & IHRA classes at the divisional & National level so NHRA tech is a part of the racing we do.

Many tracks have stricter or looser rules as they choose for test & tune or local points events.

Cam is in!! LS3 conversion complete. Cylinder heads are on... FELT exhaust manifold gaskets have been replaced. Bolting on supercharger and hoping to do an initial start up this afternoon. Ill sneak an idle video on the forum for those interested

Well not COMPLETELY right... He bought a USED camshaft from a forum member to save a few bucks

The good news is the used cam is our Stage I camshaft and it was IN STOCK waiting to be sold from our good friend/customer John ORourke.

Randy, get your driving boots on sir. You should be back in your baby this weekend!

$5K wheels and he buys a used camshaft. PQ's got his own way of doing things.
But if anyone deserves some good luck, its PQ.

Some people say that true reward comes out of struggle. I can't wait to see PQ's car up and running good.
