Cool Tranny getting fixed

So after fighting the local dealer around here to get my tranny fixed. They decide to work on it. Everytime they drove it before they said everything was normal. Im sorry but if i shift into second gear and it sounds like to skeletons F***ing on a tin roof there is a problem. So i got the call today that they got the tranny out and tore down. they said they found my 1st 2nd and 3rd gear syncros bad. 2nd gear missing teeth. and a bent/ worn shift fork. Ya sounds like everything was just fine.... After talking with they guy for a few mins he told me that GM will not let them put a full tranny in but just do a full rebuild. (I figured it would have been cheaper and quicker to just swap them out.)

I just dont understand. GM has been building trannys for years in camaros. They know how people drive them. I just see why they cheap out on something that is subjected to alot of abuse even under normal driving. it cost them more money in the long run cause they have to fix it. My tranny is from japan and it didnt last more than 8k. My motorcycle is from Japan (its a 07 gsxr 750) and i have 62k on it and i beat the eyes out of it, drag race it, and ive missed gears. that thing holds up great! The rental car they gave me while my car is being fixed is a 2011 malibu. Wow, now this car is junk. its have 200 miles on it no joke and the car runs like sh*t tranny slips bad when shifting between grears, trunk dont work, and the XM radio fades in and out alot. I just wonder if GM can even build a car anymore.
