That's an old ABM that they turned into a ZL1 for testing. That's one of the reasons why I'm not a big fan of ABM as it can give a green or teal hue in certain lighting conditions.

Without a doubt, at least two more new colors are going to come out during the 2012 model year...............

Milford is an amazing facility. All the technical apsects are great, but the real show is the vehicles you see that you can't talk about.

Technically it is a repost, he made his thread about 3 hours before this one was posted.

I think we saw pictures of it back in November or so with a red one testing in Colorado.

The neat thing about the video is...I dont recall seeing a so-called ZL-1 ever doing a burnout? They have had it on the road course, street driving, seen at Cam Fest II and other events revving the engine but not getting ON IT like they did in this feature. Sounds solid. I really like the Team spirit mentioned in the piece. That is what WINS races, along with a good product. Go Chevrolet Go CAMARO! Thanks for the post.

RE: the color, it's also possible that the parts completely covered in cammo are of different color than the rest of the car. (front fascia is only cammo covered at the lower part where the fascia could have been rough cut for the new insert...

I would have preferred that they use that hood instead of the ugly-looking plastic heat extractor thingy on the pre-production cars.

...outstanding....an area 51 for Chevy test cars! Men in Black driving blacked out Surburbans, sworn oathes of secrecy. Oh the humanity of it all.... Seriously, there's some s_ _ _ goin on they gotta keep close to the vest. I for one would love to know what's coming up in a few years for our Camaro. You just know they are tooling away at it as we speak...

I like the circle type intake vents(shown above) more then the wood chipper type intake vents. They look more sophisticated on the ZL1 then the amateurish wood chipper look. Ugh to the wood chipper style!

Thats nothing more than the camo job though. Underneath I'm positive that it looks like the ZL1 showcars we've seen. Afterall, the purpose of camo is to hide what it really looks like.

But ignoring that ... I don't know about you, but poking 6 holes in the top of a hood seems like a lot less work (therefore, more amateurish) than a moulded design that looks like it would actually direct airflow out from under the hood. I mean, anyone can cut a bunch of holes in their hood, right?

Reminds me of a episode of the Simpson's when someone is trying to shoot homer at a car dealership and keeps missing and putting hole in the hood of the car.... Homer asked the Salesman what they were..... he responded .."speed holes".... so Homer proceeded to go home and take a pick to his car and make some "speed hole".....

Seriously though.... GM's design is much more appealing to me, lets a lot more are flow OUT not IN..... it is meant as a heat EXTRACTOR and for downward force (actually functional).

I was wondering why this was posted so late after the Michigan Race. Still glad it was re-posted though because I missed it the first time around.

I am guessing they are real holes. This car does not have the ZL1 heat extractor hood so they 'vented' it for use around Millford.
