SSX wheel standard

I was at Fredrick Friday at the Camaro show and Fbodfather said that the SSX wheel will be the standard wheel. Black finish only with the wheel we thought would be standard being the optional wheel.

and I was planning on a sizable "upgrade" charge for the SSX wheels. If true, less money out of my pocket for the wheels I greatly prefer

pretty sure the 2 ZL1 running around are a fully loaded one and a base one. the fully loaded one being the one shown in chicago, and the base model one that was at camaro 5 fest 2.

I perfer the polished look myself. I just hope it isn't a lot more. Also I looked and the black SSX wheel dosen't have ZL1 stamped into it. Possibly it will in production with this being a wheel already produced before ZL1 was named.

Me too....I really dont like painted wheels....Wheels should be chrome or polished aluminum, maybe its just my age.

Well Scott told me the same thing at the show, I wasn't going to say anything in case it was meant to be announced latter. But since it's out now its a mute point now.

Psshhhh...lazy to click three buttons...

These are the wheels off the SSX Camaro Concept Car. As they appear on the ZL1, there's a stamped "Camaro" in the inner rim.

Well if we are going to get black wheels, how about at least cross drilled rotors?

OUTFREAKINGSTANDING!! I would have been willing to pay extra for them....now if only they were available in Competition Gray. Oh well....if they only come in black, I guess that'll have to do!

What color car are you wanting? On the Red I am just not feeling the black wheel.

I never noticed before but Scott said that the SSX wheel was the polished one with the space in between the spokes cut out.

They won't!

Silver/machine faced wheels are optional.

No cross-drilled rotors - not needed!

Not sure about the Booooss .. however it would be so much better if it wasn't standard in BLACK!!!! ... I'd take polished silver as standard ..

Since I assumed the SSX wheels would be the optional, lighter weight wheel, I wonder if the assumption that it's a lighter wheel is true.

Do you guys still think the SSX style wheel will be lighter? Both are forged I believe. Are the guys who will be now paying extra for the machined/polished wheel only doing so due to preference of style and finish, not performance?
