Thumbs up THANK YOU "blkngldbabe" & Highland Chevrolet

I want to take this opportunity to thank Jennifer for all her help, in the process of preparing "Fancy", for her new "smile" ,
(Heritage Grille), and always providing the VIP treatment.

I would also like to thank the Highland Chevrolet Body Shop team, for their courteous customer service and work, with the new "smile" transformation.
They also allowed me to be a part of the process, by permitting me to take a few pics.
(It may only be a minor modification, but I like the cleaner look).

Great job folks. http://www.highlandgm.com/index.htm

Very nice Frank, the heritage grill really makes the car stand out in a sea of Camaros. When I did mine I was nervous until I got into it and then it all went smoothly.

So what's the next mod?

Looks great Frank! I would have made a special request that I be able to clean the rad and areas not accessible with the bumper on.

The guys (and girls - Jenn) at Highland do a great job and are gentle with our Camaros.

You should of seen my face, when they pulled away the front facia. (It's like getting a tooth extracted, no matter how gentle you are it hurts...ouch!).

You think...just a little, I'm sure it hurt her more than me, hence the emoticons used on the second picture.

We'll see, I can assure you that I won't be waiting for "any" Z28 to show up, if it even happens. I'm tired of GM always lagging behind the competition. They had an opportunity to make it big with the Transformer 3 Special Edition, and they managed to screw that up to; it's a nice package, but how can you go with Rally Yellow, instead of the color used in the movie. You might remember the prop car they had at the Oshawa show too.
It's just meant to be that I enjoy & cherish what I have, not that I don't, so she'll be my special lady (automotively speaking).

I'll consider it a spa treatment.

Believe it or not, you know how I am with my car, the picture is deceaving, it's the lighting that made it look like it needed cleaning.
The Body Shop manager, couldn't get over how clean the car is, inside & out, and was afraid to even touch it...I let him...after he washed his hands.

Yesterday I took mine in for warranty work for the first time since I bought it last Aug, the passenger seat latch won't release. When I pulled into the reception bay all work stopped until I turned off the car. The service adviser walked over, opened the door and took a look inside the car, even before I got out he told me no one but him would be driving my car since he didn't want any grease/dirt on the orange leather. After the work was done half a dozen mechanics gathered around before I got in. Turns out they have never had a modded Camaro in for service and they wanted to hear/see the car leave.

Since I couldn't stay and watch the work being done I wrote down the mileage in big numbers and left the paper on the seat plus had a copy in my wallet. The mileage was the same when I got back in.

My wife says I'm too anal about the Camaro..........no such thing.

That's a sign of respect, and acknowledging the fact that you care about how your car is treated.
Now, the wife's comment...I'm sure she'll come around, I agree with you.

Looking good Frank. It's always great when you have total confidence in those who's hands you leave your car in. I had to take mine in to have a windshield replaced because of a stress crack and from the way everyone stopped what they were doing when I pulled up I was a bit worried I would have a lot of people getting REAL close to look. Turned out ok though.
When are we going to go for a drive Frank? Between our botched attempt a few weeks ago and missing eachother in Oshawa I'm wondering if you actually exist.

Looks absolutly awesome Frank.

Any plans to add the bowtie or "SS" on the new grill? ... or just leave it as it is?

Thanks, I know we have to do a drive one day. There's the all GM show coming up on July 10th in Newmarket, that's in our Region, maybe we can do a drive up together; check out the thread for the info. and let me know during the week.

Thanks George. I've always hated that big bow tie on the original grille, actually cut my hands a few times on the edges, when cleaning the car.
The bow tie, is gone with the original grille at the dealership, I didn't want either.

I did keep the SS badges, and it didn't seem to fit right on the heritage grille with the existing bracket. I then took them apart, from the bracket, and can't figure out what to do with them. Actually, I like the grille with nothing on it, it has a cleaner & meaner look, so it will probably stay that way.
I saw many heritage grille photos, with the bow tie, and it does nothing for me; the ones I saw were a smaller bowtie, still didn't like it.

I couldn't agree more Frank. I actually bought a set of new school SS badges and planned on mounting one on my heritage grill but once I had it one the car
I loved the naked look of it. Here is a picture of how it looks now and how it is going to stay.

I know it's the first mod for me, ever, but just seeing the front end off was enough for me, for the first time.

I still have a lot of respect how you & Cindy maintained your sanity during your big project. THE OUTCOME WAS, AND, IS, AMAZING.
With GM screwing up another opportunity to benefit with (T3 Special Edition), it always adds more value to your car.
Don't get me wrong, I don't think anyone can come close to yours, I always love seeing your car.
I had a guy from Ohio asking me questions about your car, in Oshawa, at the hotel, and I answered what I could and knew, he was amazed...JOB WELL DONE!
