By mounting the radar detector so close to the mirror, do you lose the auto dim feture?

I haven't lost the auto dim feature on mine.

Question though...I can't see anywhere to plug into the mirror. I don't see a panel to open or anything. Any help on this please?

So, you are using the mirror mount yet it still auto dims with no issues? Just seems so close to the mirror that it would block the sensor.

Does the mirror cover fit back on after installing the wires? Anyone have a pic of one installed?

I'm using the mirror blend mount but it's not plugged into the mirror yet (ugly cord hanging down ATM).

I can't see where there is a panel to open on the rear view mirror. If anyone knows please let this noob (me) where it is...driver or passenger side. I can't see one at all.

It doesn't interfere with my mirror auto dimming to answer your question.

Found a DIY on installing...no panel to open on the mirror. It's a little mor involved, but doesn't look terrible.
