Aftermarket SS Exhaust System - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I hope that Corsa comes out with an Extreme Series Exhaust System for the SS. They sound awesome on the Vette I had one on mine. But, if they don't than I will have to consider Borla in the mix, because my friend had one on his C6 Vette and it was pretty sweet! But, you know both of these companies wil have exhausts immediately for the Camaro, probably by mid-summer '09! I know West Coast Corvette, and alot of Corvette magazines like the Corsa systems for the LS3, but Borla is the most popular exhaust system in the world, and I read that they helped design the Camaro SS exhaust for the stock GM factory exhaust! But, I'm telling you if Corsa comes out with an Extreme I will def, get it!

Which company do you prefer, you can also list another comapany besides Corsa and Borla, I just ahve never used anything else!

In case you don't know, the GMPP exhaust upgrade (catback) #92206992 is made by Borla. That's good enough for me.

I believe the system is 2.5 inches.
Tips are 4.5 inches.

I doubt GMMG is going to be around considreing that most of thier employee's work at another shop now. At one time they were working at both but they told me from thier own mouths that they wanted to build street cars. hence Vengance Racing was started. They are a great shop as well though.

what about slp loudmouth those sound pretty mean on the vettes to. im sure that will sound good on the new ss as well.

I'm going to enjoy the stock exhaust for a while first. It'll make me appreciate whatever I research and buy later on more.

I emailed them a couple weeks ago and still have no response... Considering I've dumped a few Gs on a couple exhausts from them I would appreciate a response but have gotten none....

There is the slp loudmouth I and slp loudmouth II. Both sound amazing with Longtubes. loudmouth I is the louder of the two. That is what I plan on getting. Has a nice rasp to it. One of the the loudest Ive heard w/LT's

I love the Magnaflow i put on my SKY. It is a 3" CatBack and makes my 4 cylinder turbo sound like half an 8 instead of a 4. Seriously, it sounds like an 8.

im sticking with borla. ive had a good experience with them on my 00 LS1, and many ls3 vettes sound sick with the borla stingers.

Its a toss up for me. I cant decide between the borla or slp loumouth. If they offer the borla adjustable catback thats what I would prob go with. They sound sick with the open plate

Hopefully after I have enough extra cash (remember this is a 35k car we're paying off) I will have heard both Borla and Corsa in person on an LS3. Videos just don't do them justice

Go on youtube and check out the "loudmouth" systems, they are Badass, Thats what I have on my 02'Z Bought of off www.ws6store.com they are the best for F-body parts.

Corsa is the best imo. Not a borla fan and the loudmouths do not sound right once you go cam or bigger

I have the Corsa too and love it, my brother got his used from craigslist but I wanted a valid warranty so I got it here. Corsa Exhaust 15301, or you can try one of the sponsors here on the forum, they are allways having sales/specials. Either way its a great exhaust system, sounds great, and very easy to install.
