How will shifting be w/ this trans? I presume it won't be the same paddle-shift TAPtronic style that the $995 automatic option brings.

Good ole pedal and stick I hope?!

Pardon the lame question, just came on here to ask first before digging around too hard. =P

Yeah that would be how you shift a manual transmission.

Sorry for the sarcasm, but yes the tremec is the good ole' fashion manual tranny.

Don't mind it, its just the internetz. I get my daily intake of sarcasm from the teengers. I just didn't want to get stuck with these lame paddle-shift dealeos that are popping left and right now in replace of old standards.

Yes. That will be on the cars with cloth interior. 2SS/2LT get silver (black or gray interior) or beige inserts.

Ditto, I am changing my order today - Dropping the auto option .....wifey had me convinced that I will be to decrepid to keep shifting and clutching over the next few years....nah, I was racing track bikes until last year and I only quit cause I had two serios spills!The 6 speed manual rules and we are driving these Camaros for fun !!!

Pardon my ignorance, but do they make manual transmisions wtih paddle shifters and a shift lever?

Based on the photo, it looks like the Camaro shifter is a bit shorter than the G8 GXP shifter.

Yes they do, paddle shift only, but you won't find it on anything but a high dollar sports car.
