OSHAWA Impala line employee question -

Is this our same white running through the impala line? That looks much brighter than what I'm used to.....?

Same paint Scotty. Those lights shining one the cars make everything look brighter. It's purpose is so that we can see paint or body problems and catch them early.

ok...I just HAD to ask! The lighting looks good - explains why the Impala's have been top notch.

Sorry to see those SS Impala's discontinued. I wish I could get one of the last ones, but.....the economy just won't allow it right now.

Speaking of Impala paint - did they run those suckers out of gray yet, so we can get our Cyber Gray Metallic?!

That would be great! Somebody should just sabotage the grey so they can't use it anymore, and are forced to change...

Every GM vehicle comes with Onstar, you can't get one without it. White should be up and running soon.

Too hot of a topic...

Expect response, "I can neither confirm nor deny..." or as stated, "Under the rules section no comment"...

I have a close tie with a VP in the R&D department. Sent him my order number and he tried to get me a tour on the day mine was being built. I was told GM stopped all tours as a cost savings.

OH well!

The eagle has probably dropped the soap in the shower, or something. Again.

i have to ask why would you not want onstar? that is one feature that i would not go without. I am glad they are putting it on all the vehicles now.

Hey Zedder, are they dropping the Impala plate or just the SS trim? I was just curious as to where they were going with the whole Impala Zeta thing in '14 or if they were canning it in favor of the Malibu?

Wondered if you plant guys knew something. Scotty and Fbod can chime in at any time too, since I think this may be pertinent to the Oshawa plant as a whole.

You will find a huge amount of argumens on how people don't want them in thier car. Most of them just want to do illegal stuff without getting caught which is essentially what most of the arguments boil down to...

I love onstar. I think there is probably four hundred threads on this...

Just the ss nameplate from what I understand. There is a car on the compound that is a semi prototype of what were building next 'non camaro' its on a existing platform, but the platform is being modified. We can't say what it is until GM annouces it.

I just dont want the service or plastic antenna on the roof. It should be an option if people want, a monthly service should not be built into a vehicle as standard equipment.

My Trailblazer had it, I never used it, never wanted it, waste of buttons and equipment IMO.

Also, can anyone explain the logistics in why the Impala gray is related to the delay in the Camaro's CGM?

I dont want to do illegal anything, I just think its a waste to put equipment into my new car that I will never use. If I did want to get into a high speed chase, I dont want to be saved by Onstar.
