Daily Thoughts:
8/6/11*

I might not even tint the windows but tint helps keep the rays out.
But other than that. The car will hold its value way down the road.
If I can order it from the factory, then its OK to use those parts of course say maybe a heritage grill if its an option.
If I keep everything original (think about the 77 bandit TA as what on it would you change? NOTHING!) keep all papers... ALL receipts....every thing on the car keep. EVERYTHING
Keep the car original intact AS ordered. No point in waisting money and time
doing things that I will regret later and then wish I hadnt done it.
Decreases value a LOT. People will admire the car now and later on if I
do NOTHING to it. (think bandit)

Went down to dealer and talked to my salesman Barbara.
No news on ZL1. I asked her what "QTR4" actually meant and she explained
even "QTR 4" would not guarantee news in any specific time frame as "Quarter 4"
does not have an official begin and end date. Normally it is from the start of
Oct to Dec. She went on to say they have been getting lots of calls and questions about
ZL1 though. She said she could tell I was excited though. She said continue to monitor
the internet as they (dealerships) do. So...NO REAL NEWS. LOL

Safe to say, Camaro5 is the place to be to get info regarding the ZL1. Trust me it will be posted here first!! If the process goes like it did for the convertible, the first orders were put into the system in Nov. If I remember correctly, the ordering info, not pricing, was out sometime in Oct. Like I said, you'll see it here first!!

If anyone would know it would be BeckyD because I also looked into the ZL1 here in San Diego and the dealer I talked to said a lot depends on allocation and how many cars that dealer sells. Some dealers might only get one or two on there allotment. The price I was told was between 60-70 Thousand. GM has not released any of that info yet. The old saying "Supply % Demand" will determine the price. Can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That confuses me a tad. But just cause they only get one on theyre allotment does not mean you can't order one does it? Like one car per Metropolis? I know... Im sure thats not what you meant but its almost how it comes across? I already told them I don't want the first one that pulls up on the lot. I want to go through the pain of ordering a new chevy as it would be a first for me as far as ever ordering a car. Thanks!

Posting this update from my iphone.
From the very birth of my dream i have risen up in faith.
While i will meet challenges down the road, we will over come
them all one by one. It takes faith of a great kind to see something this grand
to me and others to come to pass.
The time is now to rise up in faith to see our dreams become reality.

Ok from what i think i can see, i have a deposit by check of $25,000 coming sometime
In 4th qtr. Sound familiar? What i may be able to do with my own
I do not know which will get here first, the ZL1 for ordering
OR my deposit money.
Another issue i could face would be credit to finance roughly
$500 a month or so for 5-6 years to pay the other HALF
of the car off. Its been 7 years since i had decent credit and now
There are about 2 charge off's in 2007 walmart and a cell phone bill
Against it. Should i take some of that $25k and fix the 2 bad marks
On my credit OR wait for it to show up when i get financing?
Any ideas?

Deciding to go with reverse mohawk roof with reverse mohawk stripe(s).
IF I do a roof it will be the WEBASTO MOON ROOF either GM dealer installed or WEBASTO
To ME the roof looks cool all by itself....with just the optional stripes.

I read ever thing up to this point and your right keep it stock window tint is a mod but wear the bow tie proudly. It will be the 2ed most powerful car chevy turns out. So i like it and i like your story i hope you get your ZL1 asap

Also if i may suggest something get a ZL1 tattoo with your VIN number on it when you get it. Be cool i will get something for nightfall when i got the cash. This is a life changeing experience for you when i got nightfall it was A LOT of things off my bucket list and it is my dream come true. BRUCE seems the same to you. Keep going for your dreams and i will keep an eye on this thread i am glad for you man and i am glad your geting the car your heart wants. Your 14th camaro holy crap lol wow can you list them all?

#2 1968 Camaro Coupe with 4 speed muncie and 350 stroker, solid lift cam.
Ran like a scalded ape! NO ONE in Mesquite could be me except a guy named
"jeff street" and a green VW bug tore me up in the eighth....
#3 1968 Camaro coupe with stock 327, 2bbl, three speed on the floor..
#4. I totaled car #2, and car #3. With my bare hands I made 68 Camaro #4
with the pieces from both cars. I installed a high compression 327, predator carb, Pete Jackson Gear Drive, Turbo 400.
#5. 1968 RS/SS had a 11:1 popups, 350/350, corvette tilt steering, and deluxe interior. Car was hugger orange with the black stripe going down the side.
#6. Brand new 1986 IRCOC Z28 when Irocs first hit the streets...
Had the 305 tune port injection, car was black with gray interior and trim.
#7. 1982 Berlinetta. 305 Auto.
#8. 1986 IROC Z28, white with red interior, T-tops, and 305 auto.
#9. Matador Red 1968 RS camaro project I started but did not finish
#10. 1968 RS Black with White Stripes, (Used to be my avatar) Big Block 468
with 600 Solid lift cam and turbo 350.
#11. 1992 RS Camaro with T -tops 305, 5 speed.
#12. 1985 Z28 Camaro Convertible 305 4 speed 700R

Ok to fill in the gap while I brain fart.
I have also owned (3) 1979 Trans Ams, A Nocturne blue with Gold firebird,
a white 1979 Trans Am with blue interior, both cars had the 403 olds
the blue one had the Cars and Concepts T Tops.
I had a real Y84 Starlight Black Bandit TA
Also a 1997 Trans Am that looked like a 2002 TA with ram air, tails, etc.
My bother owned a 1982 camaro with a 4 banger!

I traded a 5.8 litre 351 Windsor 1988 Mustang for it!
Actually it was not a trade. I sold the mustang then bought the TA.
It had the 400 and 4 speed and T Tops. I needed to restore it, and quite simply timing was bad. But you know what?
Here is my actual "bucket list" and guess whats on it?

So the BANDIT TA is there in the middle.
I will check these off one by one and I will not waver until all of them are checked off. Some of these items are inspired dreams. The Zl1 for example was inspired to me on july 5th 11.
This car is a "Gift" to myself for the sacrifices I have made in the last 7 Years.
The go kart business came to pass as I am enjoying the prosperity of it as we speak.. The "kartman Kart" is a dream I have of developing my own line of racing go kart here in the USA, (seeing some movement on it)
The 68 RS Camaro Covertible is a dream that I will be pursuing after I take possession of MY ZL1. My plans for it since its my first 1st gen camaro convertible, will be painted stryker blue metallic and probably will have a LS1/LS2 5 speed or 6 speed with power windows and ac.
The 48 Sportie the Good Lord told me to put back on my list as I lost a new 2007
XL50 Sportie due to fear that I was going to kill myself which was not true as God does not give us a spirit of fear even in crises so I realized it was not God's will that I lose the new harley, so i had believed in a lie that it was not "meant to be" true.
The two car garage.... If I had a two car garage.... you know who would be in it.. ME, BRUCE, and the BLUE 68 Convertible. You could not get me out of the garage if I had one..
2001 Viper. I had forgotten about this dream, so I put it back on my list.
The 6 Million? Lord only knows. I have been told countless times that I would have 6 million dollars one day.
Bandit Ta... Lost that one (YES I REMEMBER NOW!)
to another 1968 Project called Mystic Angel. So there was camaro #13 folks!
I traded even the 68 camaro #13 to get the 88 Mustang LX I had mentioned earlier.
Sold the Mustang to get the Bandit TA, and sold the bandit TA to get possession of the 85 Z28 that is now in MOMS garage as its a convertible.
See why I need a garage for all my toys now? LOL!

67 SS ( as in 67 Eleanor Super Snake) yes it is a FORD but it is on my list so I have to have it..LOL!
It has been on my list for awhile yet...
probably after I finish the blue 68 Convertible I will search for the Eleanor Super Snake. I just Sold my 68 VW so I could be paitently waiting for BRUCE when the time comes. Another member predicts I will get my ZL1 in Jan. Jan is fine with me. Feb, March.... Now april....? That thing had better literally fall out of the sky if I have to wait that long!

Oh...the VW...the one I lost was red.. But this time I want another red one as I did not finish the 68 bug but an earlier one maybe like a 61, or 62 model.
TOM pinball is a Bally Theatre of Magic Pinball machine. Very rare, very expensive. But I gotta have one as I had forgotten about this dream. Good Lord told me to put it back on my list, so I did.
Destroyer Drum Company. Well it so happens that this winter I do not plan to be doing a whole lot of Go kart repairs and lawn mower repairs.
I had hoped about 7 years ago to build my own line of drums. If anything,
I plan on maybe collecting drums, buying, reselling this winter to help with funds. Its just an idea or a dream. Nothing set in stone on it, but I am thinking about it. Big TV. At first I was thinking maybe it was "just me" or who wouldn't wanna BIG LCD TV right?
I had forgotten that due to some debt I lost my big 46 inch screen last year due to some debt issues! So what not a better thing to do than put a 7 x better tv on my list?
Refurb my house. I have lived in the same house since 1978. I am not rich, but I am prosperous. You can see (now I am seeing actually) that I am blessed with prosperity and good health.

prosper and be in health….” well...its actually happening in my life and HAS been happening for quite some time now. I am just now realizing it. LOL!

So with that, my house went through some changes in 1992 and some remodeling. Well that has been 19 years ago!

needs new carpet of course, walls need to be painted, you know not a whole lot but things wear out with age. Its time to sproof it up a tad.
Maybe the garage will come into play once I start focusing on this more.
My ankle. I was just looking at my feet. I was born with feet issues.
I still have them, and I have kind of a awkward gate when I walk. More of a hobble than anything. But none the less. I was born with my right foot, the nerve that extends off my spinal cord to my right foot is actually physically too short. With that nerve being too short, to my foot and my ankle, my foot has a tendency to "point" more so than the left foot to the right.
Unless I mentally pull my right foot inward, I hobble. Well who wants to mentally tell your body part to do something? LOL! I don't!
When I was born I was one of those babies that had braces for shoes and had to wear em. Dr told me that If I did exercises on my foot routinely it would help. But what do doctors know?
I gave it up to the big fella upstairs. Its his problem not mine! I added it to my list tonight.

^Y've come a long way babe! Would've posted in your other thread but I didn't want to break the streak. I thought my uncle was into camaros...he's had about 4- 1st gens that he used to build engines and race. He had (still has) a '77 1/2 z28 stored in a garage (it needs restoring).
