@2010RedHotCamaro

Pretty much what happens is we will show up there after we eat, then we'll check in and give the donations/sign waivers and whatnot. Once we're all ready to go they'll tell us where to go in the in-field and we'll all head in through the South tunnel entrance (and probably rev some engines). We wait there and when they're ready for our group to go on the track we're led on by pace cars which also run behind us and next to us to make sure we're not too silly. Then if you opt to get the picture in victory lane we all line up for that when we're done! That's pretty much it. 3 laps and we're done! It's a lot of fun though, plus it's obviously for a good cause!

^^^ what he said .
$30.00 gets you 3 laps at a time. You can purchase as many "3 lap tickets" you want too do as long as you have the CASH you regroup for next set of laps . Or exit Victory Lane for picture or go get back in line to re-enter track
Picture is $10.00

First trip which I think was May 2010, I hit 110+. I was lead car, would back away from the pace car than floor it to catch up.

You probably catch up real quick. I guess I am more in to road racing rather than the laps deal. If y'all decide to go to "The Motorsport Ranch" or "Texas World Speedway", I'd be more interested. I've been up to a sustained 140-145 at Texas World Speedway (in my'03 Cobra). What a blast. I'd like to take my Camaro to those speeds.

There may be some time when we go to a track for road racing or drag racing, but this isn't that kind of event. It's a charity benefit, which just happens to be at TMS. In return for us donating a small amount of money we get to go on the Speedway, which isn't something a lot of people can say they've done with their cars. Speed isn't the point of this, however fun it might be. I did hit 101 last time I went, but I don't really concentrate on what speed I might reach this time, I concentrate on how much fun it's going to be on the track with all of my friends and how awesome it is the Speedway Children's Charities lets us go on the track at all!
