ZR1 twin clutch has springs incorporated in design that makes it smoother. It will help take out some of the driveline shock too. That really comes into play if your doing harder bushings, engine mounts, or removing driveshaft guibos. On the other hand, not sure it has the SFI ratings..... Also ZR1 requires the Lingenfelter flywheel.

According to SPEC website all of their flywheels are SFI approved, but it doesn't say anything about the various clutches.

Call me old school but I like the feel of the single disc. I like to think that those extra reps on the leg press are paying off! The stiffer clutch is a personal preference for me so in the final hour I opted for the Spec Stage 4 with the billet steel flywheel.

I contacted Spec and on mine both the clutch and the flywheel are SFI certified and they are sending me the certificates since I think they got thrown away....We have to have them in our log book for tech inspections. Yours should be right there with the paperwork on yours. However, beyond the specs and certification on the flywheel and clutch you will need the SFI6.1 bellhousing to cover the whole thing up. It was suggested to take a picture of it installed for the log book as well.

Go Joe go...

The $1470 one includes the flywheel to adapt to 6 bolt pattern, plus a few other items. Looks like you still need the $99 actuator spacer for the Camaro.
$750 is pressure plate and clutch only, but looks like an enhanced ZR1 clutch system with 20% more holding power good for up to 960+ HP. Wonder if it's a newer one. Other one says tested up to 700 HP?

Racer's keep a log book with all the specs on their car, certifications including chasis if needed, expirations dates, etc. Makes teching a breeze.

The log book is something you need to put together with all of your clutch and bell housing information. It will have the SFI certification level date of manufacture, inspection information, serial numbers on the flywheel, clutch or clutches, slipper plates on multi disk, friction plate serial numbers, pressure plate serial numbers, and the certification expiration date. You might also put any information you have on any other SFI items you have; harmonic balancer, belts, trans blankets etc.

Yep, anything they can't see to inspect without dismantling the car.
