tire sensors!!! help

im about to put new chrome rims on my camaro, i was wondering, does anyone know if i have to buy new sensors for the tires, or can they be taken off my RS rims and put onto my new rims? i live in california and in a couple years it ll be a law that all tires have to have these sensors as they "promote better gas mileage" but so my question i guess is to anyone with after market rims, was this a problem for you? im concerned that in addition to the rims and installation, ill have to pay for new sensors and installation of them as well.. anyone with insight i greatly appreciate it as always!

You can re-use the sensors. (They are around $60 a piece).
