I'm confused and sometimes when I call and ask, different people are giving me different answers. I really need to talk to Bluffen still and see what steps I need to take.
Pretty sure you just pay it since it non correctable why would you correct it if it's non correctable... it's not on the ticket...

That's the way I thought about it, haha. Unfortunately, they say non-correctable since they won't allow you to fix it, and pay a lesser fine. Now, you have to pay the full fine and fix it.

I wouldn't fix some of it. You have to pay the fine regardless. You did the main attention getters so pay and leave it legalish lol

Yeah true. I wonder if I still have to take it in to get it inspected. If not, then I'll just pay the fine and call it a day.

For the correctable things you do unless Scott signs them off. He will. His user name is bluffen

So for the non-correctable (tinted windows and modified exhaust), I don't have to take the car in? The front plate and taillight tint is correctable on the ticket.

Okay, it's official. I just ordered the Vmax ported throttle body painted Summit white. I also ordered some painted gloss black taillight bezels to replace my white ones (the rear end is being blacked out soon). Also, the Granatelli red high temp spark plug wires will in soon as well. Let's get this car back on track.

I kept the same exhaust but just had to make some minor tweaks, . It quieted wayyyyyy down and I enjoy it SO much more now. The damn thing was obnoxious before and it drive me up the wall. It took away the enjoyment of driving the car, and now I love it again now that I can hear my turbo, the music, and outside noise much better.

Hahaha, yeah seriously huh. Lol.

I forgot how much more fun a quieter car could be. I seriously want to actually drive it now. Before, it just didn't sound good to me, and was raspy, and began to get irratating very quickly to me. If anyone is reading this, don't underestimate how excellent it is to have a clean, deep, not overly loud exhaust system. There may be a point where you want to tame it down and just cruise without all the added noise. I never thought I would be saying I want a quieter car, lol, but I do now. Times change for sure.

Exactly. Cutouts on a car allow a whole different animal to emerge. Lol

Hey TCat, good meeting you at Turbonetics open house. When you talk about enjoying your car more now due to quieter exhaust...what exactly were you driving before the quieter mod? And what's on it now? My car is at Granatelli's now getting the cam and TT's.
(here's the build threadhttp://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=240989
He's suggested that I may want my CATS welded back in. I told him I'd decide that after driving with just the TT's inline for a while. I have the Flowmaster American Catback system, which I love.
But I'm mainly curious as to what you're running now that makes it so much more enjoyable. I do remember you saying you were running straight pipes though...

No, unfortunately not. Right now, I have the Flowmaster Outlaw Catback. With stock cats it's aggressive, but with midpipes it's absolutely freaking obnoxious, lol. I hated it and unfortunately I got pulled over and ticketed for the loud exhaust before I could fix it. The turbo even quiets things down a bit, so I can only imagine how an SS would sound with longtubes, mipipes, outlaw catback, heads, and a cam. I don't want to attract unecessary attention with the car. The look of all our new generation Camaro's get enough attention as it is, and as the mods build, it get's multiplied, lol. In California, cutouts are also illegal if caught, but that's probably something I should do if I ever want to rock the loud exhuast. Then, I can quiet it down as I roll through areas that don't appreciate loud noise, or near cops and go wide open when I feel like roarin' down the street. California basically sees every car mod as illegal, lol. What a pain in the ass. We need car buff politicians to step up or take office.
