I really need to take out stock in plastidip.

going to get on line and order some more colors thinking red, white and clear.

clear for the gills (help protect them)
red for the interior
and white for my boys 350Z. he said "I'll leave you the car for a weekend, do it in white and suprise me."

Don't order the clear. Trust me on this. The clear isn't a glossy clear, it is the same satin finish as their other colors. From what I've read on the clear plasti dip (which is a decent amount) it is much harder to apply than the colored plasti dip and it doesn't always go on nicely.

Nice job guys. I have been thinking of doing the front facia blackout with plasti dip and the rear blackout as well. Something I will start today. Now they need to make orange so I can do my interior trim.

They do. They make it in all the colors and they even have a "create your own color" kit if you want a color they don't offer.

They dont have orange, they have (white, red, blue, black, clear, and yellow) but they do have the "create your own color" kit like you said. Maybe someone can do this and come up with a mixture that works well with the IOM color of our cars and then post up some results. This is a much cheaper alt to buying new panels (which Ill have to do anyway at some point so I can get ABL).

Just thinking again, i need to stop doing that. I have a new in the box RK sport spoiler that i was going to paint. What if I plasti dip it black since i was thinking about doing the trunk anyway. Will it hold up? Will it stick to the gel coat? I know if it comes off i can just peel it off but it's a thought in my head. Plasti dip Pro's(Stieger) what do you think?

haha thanks for the compliment. Plasti-dip should work on it. Just be sure to clean the spoiler first really well, I recommend using denatured alcohol as it's easy to get and easy to work with. I don't know if you have checked out my thread already, but I have one on plasti-dip application tips --> HERE

So after looking at the plasti dip website the create your own color kit is not for spray, only for dipping tools and such. So interior is out but I will try the spoiler and trunk today.

You spray them. Check home depot and other hardware stores.

Plasti-dip comes in a paint can form as well as in a spray-can. I believe most members have been using the spray can version of the stuff.

I've been wanting to try this on several areas of my car but can anyone tell me if it's durable? Seeing how it can be peeled off makes me wonder how good it will stay on. Would I need to apply a coat of clear over the plasti-dip to seal it or anything? Oh, and are most of these pieces taped off on the car or actually taken off then sprayed? Thanks for any input.

Some have reported 5-6 months before touchups needed. And that's the wheels. It's actually pretty tough stuff; it's hard to tear.
