Everyones work looks great. Does the plastic dip have a lifespan? Before peeling or having cracking issues? Where do you get the best product/manufacture and costs?

you can get it at lowes or home depot. about 5 dollars a can. had it on my rims for about 2 months now. still looks good.

Has anyone done black plasti dip on the inner parts of the polished rims? Thoughts about this idea? And leaving the outer facing parts of the rims polished

Tons of people have PD'd the tail lights along with the side markers. I'd rather go with the tint film though. I'm more interested in people seeing me apply my brakes than I am someone saying, "Oh hey those tail lights tinte..." **Crunch**

Is it better to plastic dip while your wheels are on or off? also do you recommend getting the stuff they stay to spray on before

Has anyone done the front bumper below the grill all the way down? this would be cheaper than re-painting the bumper to remove rock chips? Too much plastidip maybe? Looks good on accent pie es but maybe not on a big area? I wonder how well it would stand up to rocks?

I watched a video of someone that did all around the lower grill and extended down like many others have done. It looked really good to include PDing the entire painted area around the lower grill. I have a question...I'm going to do my lower grill and the lower lip was scratched on a curb or something. The scratch is about 3 or 4 inches long and it's on there horizontally. It's near the bottom of the lip where it just starts to curve under. The scratch made the paint raise slightly. Should I lightly wet sand that scratch to get it flush before PDing, or will several coats of PD cover it?

If you want to do the tail lights, use "Night Shades." It's sprayable tint coat. Thats what it's made for. Plasti-Dip is made to be solid. I'd say thats the wrong use for PD. I'm a huge PD fan, but for that application, I wouldn't use it.

I'm looking to dip my spoiler on my 14 SS. Any tips on how -- how to tape off , what happens when you're done; when you take the tape off does it take the dip with it???
