yeah, but the beige is on the seats... and that's where most of the dragging of your body will occur... as you enter and exit the car, you're going to rub that beige seat cover and it will, inevitably, turn a different color... whether that color is blue like your jeans, black like your favorite shirt or whatever other color it comes into contact with, if you have black or grey interior, it hides this staining effect and keeps the seat looking new.

our 2002 SS has the tan interior and while it has less mileage than any of our other 4th gen Camaros, its interior shows the most wear and tear.

because of the nature of the way cars are designed, there is next to no way to avoid it... the way to minimize it is to lift yourself up as you slide across the seat... whether you use the door jamb, the steering wheel (which I DO NOT recommend) or some other point of prop, lifting yourself up and not sitting down until you're fully aligned in the seat will minimize this effect... but you're still going to have some rubbing as you move around in the seat to get comfortable, reach for things on the other side of the car, etc. ... but that's very minimal when compared to the normal wear and tear of getting into and out of the seat.

j/k, J... you know I love your car

I think you might have me confused with someone else. I don't have a silver vert 4th gen but do have an 02LE SS 4th gen that does have silver stripes (stickers). I really do like silver on the 5th gen and 4th gen. I just thought I might throw the idea out there of how common the colors may be if that even matters in this case. Who knows, IOM might be more common than SIM when it is all said and done. It all honesty there is no color I dislike on the 5th gen, I think they are all pretty good choices. I definitely meant no offense to those with silver cars.

I think the RJT looks the best out of those combos.

no problem, man... that's what we're here for

on a side note, putting a cream colored beach towel over the seat protects the color of the seat and makes the fabric/leather last longer

RJT would be my color of choice if I were going to choose between the 3 packages you have there... but that's probably because I have a pewter '02 Z28 and a SOM '02 SS... so RJT fills a color void in the collection

Ya know what it is I love the way the Barrett Jackson car looks. Then Oshawa pics came along and the IOM LOOKED INCREDIBLE. RJT I have always liked so I'm torn. Then there is the look. RJT looks classy and sophisticated. IOM aggressive. SIM looks a touch of both although it will be the most common. I also like the IO INTERIOR best in the SIM I feel it would be too much in the IOM. so there is my rational LOL

I think the RJT looks more "classy" as well, but it is not a good fit for this Camaro. To me, I think RJT belongs on a luxury car of some sort. And I think SIM looked good when the concept was unveiled, but I fear that it would not stand out as much. There are soooo many silvers, greys, whites, etc... you would just blend right in with the black & white crowd. IOM would be nice if it were a little more orange, and a little less red. It is very often confused with Victory Red in a lot of pics, and then in others it looks (as best described by someone here) like tomato soup. I have not seen one in person though, so I can't fully attest to that... just my thoughts. I didn't vote in the poll, since I personally don't favor any of them... but if I were forced to choose, I'd say (in no particular order) IOM w/ silver rally stripes, or SIM with CGM rally stripes. The hockey stripes just don't look right to me.

Not much help, I know, but those are just my thoughts on your situation

I don't think IOM looks like Tomato soup.... try looking at the sun on a bright day. That's what looking at IOM looks like. Hyper Orangey-Red blistering colour that you can't turn your head away from.

Actually that was a great answer it helped me in the thought process even if it wasn't directly related to my scenario. You know what my fear is? That once we start getting more ACTUAL photos especially when CGM gets released HELLO MONKEY WRENCH!! LOL

Hmm... maybe the pics just don't do it justice then. I'd like to see one in person to see how "orange" it really is. The way you describe it, it sounds better. I think most people expect it to be like Hugger Orange, and are disappointed with the redness in it. I've personally never wanted an orange, red, or yellow car, so I am probably too biased against those colors to give any real insight... but even still, I do like Hugger Orange better than Inferno Orange.

CGM still falls into the "black & white" category for me. I have seen it in person on a Corvette, and it just didn't do anything for me. I like the metallic sparkle to it, but I don't like the color itself... it's too "blah" I guess. Maybe I just see too many silver/grey cars all over the place, and I'm sick of them? I dunno...

You couldn't have said anything truer in YOUR LIFE! I seen the IOM in person, on a bright sunny day, and it is similar to looking into the sun. It's orange where you directly look at it, and red around the curves and edges.
I couldn't stop looking at it, and orange is one of my least favourite colours. ever. I would never own a red/orange/yellow car, but IOM is different. In every way. I actually considered it. And i'm a Blue/silver through and through type guy. My Caprice, Sea-Doo, and Cobalt are all Blue with silver/or chrome!

And on a side note... if you do end up going for RJT, I think the RS package is a must-have. The darker tail-lights will look much better, IMO. And of course, I love the halos
