yes it is a hot rod motor. ordered thru GM parts catalog. please read the ad before posting an irate response. I mention that it is not original.

I have just never heard of that, is it the chrysler plymouth 383 or an
evolution of something that is already a gm block?

it's a small block chevy stroker motor.

it's basically a 350 chevy small block with a 400 crank...you get the revs of the 350 and the torque of a 400....sort of (and ends up being 383ci). They are real nice motors when setup and built right.

X11 is a certain trim package not necessarily a SS..Do you have the protecto plate by chance??
