Changing Front Grill Bow Tie
Wondering how hard it is to change the bow tie on the front grill..and what type of tool I need..been so busy at work I havent had time to look

wrap a wash cloth around it and pull really hard. That's all you need to do

You will see a couple of tabs on the bottom that latch it in, if you release them it's a little easier, but you still have to pull pretty hard. You don't really need any tools, but a flathead would help release those tabs if it's being a real bear.

You definitly need gloves or some kind of protection. You will tear your hands up if you don't. Get a good firm grip, start pulling and gently twisting. Don't jerk it, but slowly twist and pull.

+1 That's what I did too. Look at whatever you putting in there and the tabs need to be pushed the same way as what you have... if you don't have anything and can wait till I put my new grille on end of Aug, I will post a pic so people can see it from the inside.

I just pulled it out. It took a bit of force but it came out. No damage to the grill, bowtie or my hands. I didn't do any sort of prep work like pushing in tabs and whatnot, just yanked that sucker. So if you decide to be as wreckless as me, know it's still an ok route.
