Post [video] Camaro vs. Challenger vs. Mustang exhaust comparison

probably not the best video, but at least it's something

from what's shown here, i like the sound of the Mustang the most.

I'd say mustang sounds best by a little, but they are all nice! Would of liked to hear the SRT8.

I liked the Challenger a little more. The mustang's exhaust note seemed like it was too deep. In this video, to my surprise, the Camaro's exhaust sounded bad...like import-fast-and-the-furious bad.

Challenger sounds the best to me. It definitely has that MOPAR Hemi character to it where if you were to cam it and give it some longtubes it would sound like a bunch of gongs being struck at once.

I dunno.. I plugged in my nice earbud headphones so the sound was as true as I could get it from my computer and the SS sounds the best IMO..

Anybody other than me get the impression after that video that Edmunds favors Ford?

I think the challenger sounds better more like the flow master sound I like, the Camaro not bad, the stang needs a set.

Challenger sounds too "tinny"...to raspy...not loud enough.
Mustang sounds too monotone...like the sound just gets louder...it doesn't change.

The Camaro...honestly, made the hairs on my arm spike... Just heaven....

Yes, in my opinion...did I ever say otherwise?

The Mustang's exhaust is not any more fake than the Dodges, as a matter of fact. If you're referring to the sound-routing into the cabin...that's an entirely different issue, and since the camera was outside the car...it's a non-issue.

I'm thinking you were listening thru good speakers, I got the same impression, the camaro sounds excellent.

The comparo needs to be done in person, or at least with one camera and all at the same time from the same position. I've heard some rustangs that sound pretty good.

Just to put things in perspective...(they all sound good after this)

Okay...who farted?

Exactly what I thought. The chaly was like a tin can!

Mustang felt there was no substance.

Camaro was best but could be improved!

No im not being a fanboy!

Well I'm a die hard Chevy fan and love the 40 series flowmaster on my Nova and the Challenger came the closest to the sound I like, but was on the quiet side. Camaro was louder, but the sound was not as crisp, maybe it was cold.

Meh. I like my Flowmaster Delta 40, and am seriously debating on getting two more for my V6 camaro when I get it. That or Borla Stingers.

And if they were really that trashy, they wouldn't sell as well as they do.
- Xanthos

P.S. - Of these three, I like the challenger best.
