Hey peeps, i got a 2010 camaro ss with a K&N air filter and i know a dude with a STOCK x6 and he's been saying that it could shred up a camaro.... i highly doubt it.
The x6 weighs more then my house! lol.... what do you all think? let me know.

Ah yes, the ole '2010 Camaro w/ K&N Filter versus the stock BMW X6 controversy. This has been soooooooo beaten to death................
Since you know the 'dude' why don't you guys go to a track and find out? You dont even have to go at the same time - just record your times and compare.

Who gives a shit which is faster on a track. I know I know NO STEET RACING but when does simple speeding (which we all do) become racing? And isn't the X6 some goofy looking truck/car/crossover thing?
I get a kick out of all these my buddy has a blank... Is it faster than my Camaro. Who cares, or go find out... Wherever you want. |

I think the K&N filter should give you at least a 10 second edge in the 1/4. Seriously, since you are in Qatar, does he mean down the street or across the desert? If you have to drive through sand he might take you.

If its a X6M you are going to get smoked.
Go on youtube and look up BMW X6 vs... You will see a X6M smoke a GT500 on a closed track in a drag race several times.

If it's a normal X6 you will kill it. If it's a X6M don't bother.

A stock x6 m is good for mid 12's and 4.0 0-60mph, according to motortrend.

BMW X6M 5324 LBS/550 hp = power to weight ratio of 9.68 CAMARO SS 3880 LBS/426 HP = power to weight ratio of 9.10 Thats why the Camaro pull on the X6m at the end. I'd never thought I'd say this in favor of the Camaro, but weight is a MF As for an X6 stock, a quick search 0-60 times are 5.8-6.4, and 1/4 mile times between 14.5 -15 seconds. 3 cylinder Geo Metro versus Datsun B210, let the street racing begin. Both do 0-60 in the 20 second range and can't reach the 45 mph speed limit before the next stoplight, so one could assume if you drive one in daily traffic that you "race" everyone around you, even talking about driving one of those in traffic must then be considered a highly illegal street racing story(Hell, I feel like I'm racing some Civics with fart cans when I accelerate normally to 3000-3500 rpm and shift, sometimes I don't know if they're flooring it or not ?). DGthe3 your input ? I am simply pointing out a gray area that people consider "racing".
