That doesn't take into account all the Roush cars and the rest of the Shelby cars.
The only car not made by Shelby is the GT500. All the other Shelby models are just aftermarket modded Mustangs and are not considered Ford models. The 45th Anniversary, the Bullit, and the WiP were made by Ford. The California Special is just graphics and a different front facia, and not considered a separate model by itself. No different than the GFX package on the Camaro. The Iacocca Mustang is not made by Ford either. So out of those, the only one that is still in production would be the GT/CS, but like I said, it's not a separate model from a regular GT.

Now, going with your argument that the GT/CS isn't a special edition (it is because it changes the appearance more than GFX, stickers aren't GFX, grill insert isn't GFX etc). Then All things are equal between the two. and that would be 6 coupes and 5 convertibles for the mustang. While GM has 6 coupes and 4 convertibles for now soon to be 5 (ZL1 vert). That looks pretty even to me. now you start talking about all the mustang appearance packages and such compared to the camaro. the mustang has more. it will always have more. and that's due to the fan base of the mustang being larger then the camaro. Along with a more cult following by the older generations.

If we see a Gen5 Z/28, I think it'll be the 1LE concept with the new Vette engine.

I'd be fine with that but I wouldn't want to wait that long. I highly doubt they would release the new V-8 in the fifth gen before the Corvette.

The new Vette engine will also be the new Camaro SS engine and the new Holden Commodore HSV engine and ...

I agree, but once upon a time it did happen, in '67 the brand new 350cid SBC engine went into the Camaro SS a whole year before that engine showed up in the Vette.

SBC= small block chevrolet. You sometimes need to specify SBC or BBC (big block chevrolet) as the engine sizes overlap. There was a 348 BBC derivative of the 409 BBC (so 2 ci less than the 350) and we've seen 427 SBCs which are not to be confused with 427 BBCs. It's simply a way to narrow down what engine you are talking about.

We want a vehicle that pricewise slots between the 2SS and the ZL1, with 15k-20k dollars, there is a huge price gap between the SS and ZL1. We don't want the Z/28 combined with, mixed with, confused with, similar to or any other combination or similarity, in short we want a Z/28. We want an affordable high performance Camaro that performs better than the base V8 SS with far less cost than the ZL1. Is that so hard to understand??

Its not hard to understand, Im just pointing out that the ZL1 seems to fit the role of a Z28, that being a track car.

The first gen ZL1s seemed to be mainly drag racing inspired vehicles while the Z28 was the track car. It seems like the 2012 ZL1 has combined both these elements into one vehicle making a Z28 redundant.

If anything the Z28 should be an add on package that would take the LS3/L99 and have them be fully built from the factory with warranty. In addition suspension and brake upgrades as well as some kind of unique exterior cues.

GM is saving the 775 HP triple turbo 6 cylinder (TTS) for the new Z/28.

Those were mature responses. Sorry you've failed to explain why GM will make the car. All you did was tell me what you wanted the Z28 to be and Im stating my opinion on why I dont think they will make one.

What am I missing?
