Tampa area. Brand new Camaro club starting.

Lot's of you local guys and gals know me and it has been great getting to know many of you. It's been a blast. With all that being said i thought i'd put it out here on the board that i am starting up a new Tampa area 5th gen Camaro and F-body club.

I won't give out all the details as of yet including the name until i get the appropriate pages and sites up within a couple weeks.

This will be an active club that has planned events and meet ups on the weekends monthly and or bi-monthly.

Membership in the club will require a member to be active in at least one "event" every quarter. (unless there is a good reason)

Membership will require ownership of a 5th gen Camaro or an F-body.

Events will rotate around so as to give every member the opportunity to participate.

This will be a family friendly club.

The family and i will be heading out tomorrow night on a much needed and anticipated vacation out of the country. (hence the reason for the delay in announcing all the details of site and pages and such)

Anyone interested in joining up feel free to post up or PM me.

We have a ton of great 5th gen owners as well as a ton of F-bodies in the area to make a really great club here.

Every member in the club will have a voice in it.

So, post up and be the first to get on board with what i know will be an exciting club.

This sounds great. The events are what make a club fun. If you get a dealership to sponsor a club, they sometimes offer parts and labor discount.

Sign me up. I cant wait !

There are no actual clubs in the tampa area. TGCCC is not formal.

This will be a formal club for sure. I will get much more info to everyone very soon when I return from vacation. I have gotten a few pms as well from people who are down for it. A meeting will be set up in august for all to attend who wish to do so.

I am in... that's whats been missing for the camaro guys. Enjoyed the Vette groups when I owned my C5 & C6. Phil has a good point about dealership sponsor. I know that Ferman is very involved with Tampabay Vettes. Once we get organized I dont mind approaching them.

add me to the list. I know you are working out the details and such, but I'm hoping we can be a club that gives to the community in some manner.

Hope you had a wonderful vacation, and now you probably need a vacation to recuperate from your vacation...

I'd love to hear from you when you get something lined up. Thanks!

Hey everyone. Have not forgotten anyone. Returned from vacation and promptly got wrapped up into some personal matters all week long. Finally getting those things wrapped up. After lots of searching and pondering The name for this new club will be Palm Coast Camaro Club unless there is a reasonable objection to the name.

The very first meeting will be held Noon Sunday Aug 28th at Buffalo Wild Wings in New Port Richey.
10936 State Road 54, New Port Richey, FL 34655

During this first meeting we will take an official vote on the name of the club. If it passes with a majority vote from the present members it will become official. If not alternative names can be submitted to me in this thread before hand so we may vote on those names at the first meeting. The goal is to be officially named after the first meeting.

Next up is i cannot do this all myself. I need at least 2 others to volunteer their time and efforts as well in setting up meeting spots that can be rotated around to facilitate easy access to all members. A few have already volunteered so i think we will be good. I also need someone creative who can design us a logo for eventual shirts. I have been in touch with a few local dealerships and establishments such as BWW about holding our meets. No firm commitments as of yet. A few would like to see what kind of numbers we can draw before deciding.

Another item to vote on is at what level of membership we will choose to have small annual member dues. My initial thought is at 20 members so we can have shirts made up.

Please post up in the Palm Coast Camaro Club meetup thread if you plan to attend the first meeting on Aug 28th.
