Hey all- my name is Matt (obviously) and I'm currently shopping for a 2011 SS.

I had a 97 Trans Am about 12 years ago and loved it to death, minus that it broke down a lot... probably from me driving too hard and often, and being young and not taking proper care. Since then I've been a big VW/Audi fan, owning 5 since 2001.

I'm currently in a 2011 GTI, got it about 1 year ago. Wanted a Camaro but with my wife and I planning on another kid I needed to stay practical so got the 4 dr GTI. Now, we've changed our minds about another kid so I need my 1/3rd life crisis car!

Planning on a black on black SS with RS package, but we'll see what my wallet can take!
I look forward to learning more about these cars and possibly doing a couple small mods.

And FWIW. we have two kids and the Camaro works just fine with car seats.

Thanks guys! Got a ballpark quote back from the guy I'm working with- not looking too good for the payments. He quoted a 48 month 15,000 mile/yr lease for 570 a month. No cash down only the trade in. The car is a SS with RS, convenience and connectivity, and sunroof. More than I need...

I'd be happy with just a 1SS. RS preferred, though.

Wish me loads of luck- I'm stretching my dollars to get into a car that'll make me do this ->
