NHTSA Complaint Form for AY6 Guys

Looks like FORD is getting nailed by the Feds for transmission problems. Enough people have filed complaints with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration so they are investigating.

Here is the link to their complaint system. If you have a notchy or missed shifts this is a safety issue. It can cause a crash.

https://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/ivoq/

Together we can get this problem fixed!

I filed this morning as well dont worry about what other people on this forum say. The only people who will care here are the people having the issue.

They also said the TITANIC CANT SINK!

Bottom line... This is a safety issue that GM needs to address.

185 of us voted on a grind or bind on the AY6 2nd Gear Problem Thread.

Fill out your complaint forms. This will help us open an investigation and force GM to address this problem.

I guess you never heard of someone missing a gear and getting rear ended. It has happened and can happen.

I've nearly been rear ended and T-boned on multiple occasions, in only 9 months! Two just off the top of my head, when making a left turn in traffic and the 2nd gear binded causing me to be unable to shift. The car behind me, tailgating of course trying to beat the light, had to slam on brakes and the oncoming cars had to slow a little. If I had been a little braver and REALLY tried to beat traffic, it could have ended very, very badly.

And I submitted a report yesterday. It needs to be fixed, and soon.

What happens when your going down the interstate @ 70 mph in the middle lane, your clutch sticks to the floor, and the tranny wont shift...still thinking it cant cause an accident? yea..its happened.
