I'll have to check but the car has a yaw sensor for stabilitrac, measuring the side loads during aggressive driving. If you notice he changes from left circles to right circle when it pops. Bet the car thought it was side swipped.

I noticed the steering wheel and passenger side did not deploy. I thought all bags deploy, regardless if the car was hit on the side or front.

What was interesting (and GOOD) to see in this video was how hard the car resisted lateral slide! It stuck so good to the track, the flex to the car's body during the change-up in direction probably activated the side curtain sensors as if it had been impacted.

So who pays the bill for the bag deployment? Is that a warranty claim or does GM just add another name to the go screw yourself list?
