subwoofer rattle/possible sub malfunction - warranty question
my subwoofer rattles a lot when playing music, i took it in to my local dealership (now the only gm dealership in town, as the other went out of business) and the guy said there might not be a "fix" for it. so could I get a new subwoofer under my warranty?

Are you sure its the subwoofer and not the rear deck?

It should be under warranty, but its more likely either the sub frame or the rear deck plastic is making the noise.
Climb back there while it's playing and see if you can isolate the noise by pressing on different areas

Normally if a part is found to be defective under the bumper to bumper warranty it would be replaced. Of course this is under normal circumstances (the failure is not the direct result of abuse or neglect by the customer (which would be up to the dealer to find out)). This would mean that yes normally if your subwoofer were found to be the cause of the problem and the best way to fix it were to replace it it would be covered under your warranty. I hope that helps answer that question.
