Ordered my 2012! For the second time

After having the worst experience at a local Chevy dealership, being yelled at by the General Manager. Being told I have to be spoken to like I was his son, being told I was acting like a jerk, having him make fun of where i live I went and got back my deposit back today. At least the sales manager apologized about ten times today saying there was no excuse what happened to me.

Anyway I just wanted to post that I ordered a 2012 today through Becky D and I could not be happier. She is such a pleasant person to deal with and i regret not dealing with her from the beginning.

I was caught so off guard. He said I had to come back in two day, (today) to get my deposit so as much as I wanted to go crazy I wanted my money. When i told him to stop yelling he said that's how he talks bc he was in the army. The guy wouldn't even come out of his office today when i was there....crazy

yah that sucks. you are a better man than i am. i have short temper, so that would have not ended well. the deposit on the car would have been used to get me out of jail.

What? Did he have a basic training flashback or something?
No excuse...probably was a section 8......

You did the right thing by holding your tongue,your goal was to get your deposit back.I think I would have started dialing 911 and have him yell at the cops or state troopers.I don't think they would have been impressed........

That's a lie out of his ass. The only people I had yell at me were Drill instructors, and they did it to keep our attention and to make sure everyone heard the instructions. Most NCO's don't yell or scream when it comes to their troops.

Sounds like this guy is a total jack hole...Glad you found someone to give you an enjoyable buying experience.

It's unfortunate the experience you endured with the original order, but I'm glad you stood firm and moved on.
Personally, I would have reported him to GM head office, as he is a poor representative for the corporation, especially with the position he holds.

Congratulations on your order, and hope you enjoy your car, when it arrives, as much as your shopping experience with Becky.

Becky has helped a lot of people here, and is a great person to deal with.
I've had occasion to speak to her (via PM) as well.

If only we Canadians could buy new cars from the U.S. and bring them back, I would deal with Becky too.

After he told me the army is the reason he talked loud to people I told him my father was an air force pilot just to shut him up, it did for 2 sec

So, did the GM do all this after you asked for your deposit back? If not, what was it that set him off?

Either way, he shouldn't have talked to a customer that way. If I were you, I would send a letter to the owner to let him know he lost a customer because of his GM's attitude/actions (although I wouldn't be surprised if he's related to the owner).
